Day 1 Why do pictures never work for me  It is the year 2033. Many things have happened since North Korea’s attempted firing of a nuclear missile into the United States. Once that happened, things would never be the same. The UN invaded North Korea. The bombing was so fierce that North Korea literally ceased to exist, leaving only the South Korean island as a memory of the bloodshed of the final end to the Korean War. After that, there was much disagreement in the media as to who ordered such a fierce bombing on North Korea. “Surely the people were not as bad as their leaders were?” some pondered. Fingers were pointed, blame was laid. The United States said they were bullied by Russia into doing it, Russia refused to take the blame, the UK blamed Canada, Canada blamed France, France blamed Spain, Spain blamed Poland. The storm of finger-pointing led tensions to grow even more throughout the years. The 2nd “powder keg” had been formed, and all it needed was another spark. Just as the spark to start World War I had been a gunshot, the spark to start World War III would be just the same. On January 17th, 2033, the leader of the UN was giving a speech to some advocate groups when a shot rang out and he fell down, dead from a bullet wound straight between the eyes. Yet again, a storm of blame rained down on the world. But this time, it would lead to war. Russia, Canada, and Poland would join together to form an Alliance called The Consortium. America, France, the United Kingdom, and Spain came together to form the 2nd Alliance in hopes of repeating the victories of the First Alliance in WWII. Several other countries joined each side. World War III has begun. Day 1 has begun! As you hopefully figured out by now, this is not going to be completely normal mafia. Since the leader of the UN died, we need to elect a new one! No one ever left the UN because they still wanted to be considered a world power. The mayor will be given the power of an extra vote, as well as 2 other powers and one game condition they must follow, all to be explained after the election. Make sure you vote wisely! Please vote in the voting thread using “##Mayor Vote: Player” to vote for a Mayor. Tiebreakers will be dealt with in the same way as normal voting is done (first one to reach the winning amount of votes will win the tiebreaker). You may change your mayor vote as many times as you wish. Any normal votes must also be placed in the voting thread using “##Vote: Player”. You may abstain from voting for a mayor but you must vote for a lynch candidate. Day 1 deadline is Tuesday, Jun 11 2:00am GMT (GMT+00:00). You have until then to choose both a lynch and a mayor. | ||

In high dimensional space Rn, if all the relatively small population(us?the town is small n) are normally distributed on each quality (anger, agression, good play, …) then most people are an outlier in their own projection. If I had enough information I might even prefer a candidate other than me. We are getting late enough in the day now that experience tells me, that other tzs likely wont be checking in. hence we lose a fraction of the day do you have suggestion of what we can do profitably? Pretty sure you can tell from my track record that I really only roll non-VT when I force myself into a themed game Also, we won't know what these powers/restrictions are until the election is over so there's no real point trying to work it out. In which case everyone ends up voting themselves as the 'optimal' route? We have quite a few people in for discussion now, but what is there to discuss at the moment.. | ||
