Oh also Geript if you see this as well, I got your nutter butter comment, you fuckhead. ![](/mirror/smilies/puh2.gif) Don't quit playing dude; one of these days maybe we'll actually work together and do something useful on the same team.

I completely missed Shiopi as scum after Clarity flip. marvs stunt after "death" was bullshit and he deserves a 100 game ban for that. that's ruind the game for not his team but for other people.

Eh I disagree. He took a one game ban gracefully and hosts are probably more likely to mod kill slots over individual hydra heads in the future. I was mad at first but, eh, treat it as a learning experience. Plus it's a reality check to players: mod confirmed literally means the mod displayed the alignment on flip and even then you have to worry about janitors and flip delays in certain setups. BH did not say getmoript was town.
That said it was trickery to post after he was removed from the game. Not too worried about it in retrospect it has been resolved.

I see that as intentionally trying to make geript better as he sure knew he is not allowed to post and should deal with his modkill with mods. I would have lynched geript every day but it wan not worth pursuing because ~90% of the people treated him as confirmed town.

If Marv were trying to cheat, then he would've been giving me strategy throughout. I don't think Marv needed to say anything in order to mod-confirm me. Nothing Marv said wasn't implied something that wasn't what BH said. At no point was I unlynchable. No one actually posted a good case against me and that's what it takes in that type of situation.

point being that situation shouldn't have existed in the first place.
If you were 1% harder to lynch because of this, the game is ruined and invalid.

I agree with this, simply because I wanted to lynch Geript based solely on his opening post which I pointed out and voted him for. Subsequently after the thread exploded, I just conceded and said 'meh, prolly town' and didn't even think about him again for a long while.
It's a terrible situation really, and the game would have been drastically altered had the event not occurred. There is no denying this fact. If anyone really wants to aruge about skill or whatever, it's really stupid at this point. Ace had a great performance as third party and that's really all we should take from this game, along with the fact that Marv can be a douche sometimes.

since when do you need a big case to prove someone is mafia. And even if he did post a gigantic case palmar's big problem would have been when a fellow townie or hell even a clever scum goes but what about "mod" confirm. There is nothing palmar could say to that.

Never would you have been able to get away with your play without the stuff marv did. You have been praised by the hosts for not doing anything useful looking to justify your not-being-nightkilled, when faking usefulness and involvement properly is the stuff that makes a good scum, and you didn't have to do that cause of a cheater. I don't understand how you can't admit that his play there made it so much easier for you, and instead you start calling others lazy and the balance insufficient to try and justify something like that.
That post influenced the game heavily, whether it was town's fault to believe it or not doesn't matter. The host allowing that to pass was like a confirmation of what marv said. If any hydra head said after death "I have been modkilled cause I flamed the host after he didn't acknowledge my DT-check sent late in" and the host simply doesn't react saying "modkill discussion later yo", then town will tend to assume that it is true.
At least any post-death information should be dealt with by the host by saying that it's false and warn the hydra to discourage that play in the future, also forcing the player to edit out the post. Maybe it should be made a general rule. That play had to fall back onto geript, not onto town. Why did others have to waste their time for something that should be supposed to fall back onto the cheater.
Still, giggles played best, hands down. If you deserve a win it'd be cause of him. But I have no respect for your hydra's play (and especially for your attitude after this happened)

I've don't know geript that well, but I've spoken with him, and he came across as a guy who wants to improve, wants to learn and is enthusiastic about the game of mafia. Maybe I'm overestimating him, but I kind of read him as a promising new-ish guy who would attempt to win the game no matter the odds.
I just see such a completely different attitude here. Compare the attitude of myself, WoS and Artanis in these last few days with geript's attitude. It's blatantly different. He's not even trying to win the game for town, which means, to me, that it's likely he isn't town.
Did you know that geript has an 11 page filter. Page 10 starts on like may 3rd. He's posting like 1-2 times a day since the Ace lynch. He's not involved at all and seems to care very little what happens, yet he's emotional enough to viciously attack me for no good reason.
dunnoh...

You would hardly have mafia be to eager to set up an own hydra qt to the point of getting modkilled when they get a scum qt with their role PM.
At least this is what I thought when I made a judgement about geript
I just want geript to face that his play had few to do with his victory, and blaming the loss on Palmar or justifying his advantage with balance is a piss poor attitude, which is what motivated me to post.

And that's why it sucked and why posting post-death is bad in general, but the fact of the matter is that geript and I did have our own QT separate from the mafia QT. Impartial observers:
[4/23/2013 1:36:08 AM] Jack "iGrok" Dickerson: The ban wasn't justified at all. Idk why you did it, but he's completely in the right. That being said, post-death posting is completely against the rules and Marv has been around long enough that he definitely knows this (not that inexperience would be an excuse). However, his postgame rant had nothing to do with his alignment and in no way even insinuated at it. Other players may try to meta-game his ban to learn information, but that is their own risk.
On May 20 2013 03:55 Mr. Wiggles wrote:
I read the situation without having followed the game at all. Reading the post Marv made after death, there didn't look like there was any game relevant information in it, just him complaining about QTs and the modkill, so I thought it would be alright to leave the other head alive in that case if that's what BH wanted. The players decided to draw their own conclusions about it, and the host made a post saying that the information in Marv's post was irrelevant. If players decided to continue to use that information to determine the hydra's alignment, that was their own choice.
So yeah, I'm happy to take the douche-rap for posting post-death, but there really was no town claim.
EDIT: but obviously from the way the game went down, what happened with the whole situation did help geript. That's pretty undeniable.
