 Hooray! when you reach the 3p discussion you might want to read this since it clarify a few things that the people in the podcast got wrong. also i don't know who is was that accused me of not reading the thread when VE and not understanding the recruiter mechanic but that was snide, you were wrong about what happened and fuck you. | ||

Also when choosing to lynch between Mafia and Recruiters (Cults), and it's Day 4 or so in an 18 person game you're probably going to lose by then anyway. If you aren't lynching the head of the Cult you are screwed assuming it isn't some modified version of one. We could argue on the benefits of leaving the Scum alive hoping they shoot the Cult head/he tries to recruit one and dies, or trying to lynch Cultists hoping you hit the head and losing the game when you fail. | ||

It was very obvious. And even then it was almost guaranteed that EITHER kita or I were scum and bringing the vote to Kita/I would have made it obvious via the pressure and the information revealed by that pressure. Saying that we had no chance/little chance to lynch scum is entirely the wrong attitude and possessing that attitude is almost like a self-fulfilling prophecy. | ||

You can 100% lynch a cult leader, or you can try to lynch a scum. You have to do both eventually anyway, it makes no sense to try to lynch a scum when you benefit more from the 100% kill now and using the time to solidify your reads. The other downside to not killing the cult leader is that you lose control of the game by trying to lynch a scum. You have no way of knowing the size of the cult, so you have no idea how much vote power is truly in the hands of town. You have to use a worst case approximation in that case, which would suggest 3-4 votes in the cult and around the same in the hands of the scum. Lastly you have to consider that even if you may consider it "obvious" from your perspective, it's only that-YOUR perspective. You can't necessarily speak on behalf of the other townies, especially as none of them actually agreed with you. | ||
