he is slightly more on the red side of the spectrum for me right now. he accounts for like 12% of the game's posts right now, and he has put a lot of information on the table. if i am right and toad is red, it is certain that he has linked himself to other reds in the game based on his day 1 play.
i would not be upset with a vivax day 1 kill, because i think he is red, and 1. it kills a red d1, and 2. it keeps toad on the table and if his play continues to reveal him as being red, then we get 2 days of him digging holes for his team instead of 1 day.
Finally someone who isn't talking straight gibberish.

The Chezinu rule if its real applies whether yo are mayor or not, anyone could apply it.
My concern is the ability of me at a future time to be able to tell if you are town or scum. The Chezinu rule determines the alignment of other people.
Even then that is not quite subtle enough, as it is really the population of players i have an expectation of being alive
at the future time when that decision is made that will need to able get it right. (thats true even if i am not one of them)
I have strong game theoretic reasons for believing what caliber of players will be alive when that time comes. Lynches and nks (all kinds) will follow trends.
While i dont personally think have the same problems reading your posts or your ways as most people do the power of the the mayor in some sense lies in its popularist properties. To fully utilize it the mayor has to be able to hold the trust of Town even when times are trying.
My vote has not moved yet BTW. I was probably a little unclear, that list was short because it had a nice tit for tat symmetry.
I regard both listed actions as being, not the kind of thing you get lynched for despite some apparent publicly stated views... but then the vets do play the cards close to the chest. They also tend to lets say extrapolate the emotive value of the truth... to avoid that LAL thing. I do gotta say I have one data point on the chezinu rule and hey it worked once... so maybe it is golden.
There is however an long list of emotive arguments thrown up temporarily presumably to test the emotional response of the target then thrown away. personally such flip flopping of emotive unexplained power plays screws with my early feel reads.
I believe i have another class of read that perhaps ought kick in Day 2... but i am new so i don't want to bet the continuing viability of the Mayorship on it. I want people i believe Town will still be able to get a read on D2. I especially want town to be able to understand any mayor driven mislynch by the mayor being clear how they got there. So far not a lot of choices on candidates that might even plausibly do that.
My concerns also go deeper, there are significant numbers of players who declared to have the skils to be likely not to live out the day that to my way of thinking are not yet really in the game. They especially are not in the game in the sense of makign sure town understands what they saw today or in terms of proactively acquiring information. perhaps there are layers to this i dont understand.
But I see fluff.

Sandro is close to red for how lazy his scumreads are.
Five and WBG are in a similar area to Sand, but WBG looks the towniest of them all so far.
I would lynch into any of the first three.

You guys are picking players who are insanely easy to pick on to have scum reads. Oats is scummy even as town, and does weird shit as any alignment. If he wanted to defend JX, I don't think it's scummy behavior. JX was under heat from a few players and he gave his read in the matter, one I agree with.
Prphlz seems similar, though I don't know him as well. What I do know is that the guy doesn't post a lot and he doesn't read blatant town so it is easy to pick on him because no one is going to disagree with you. He may very well be mafia but nothing he's done screams scum to me.
