He was wishy washy with his read on kushmasta while trying to mislynch him, not being stubborn as i'd come to expect Really? I was on his team in LC and he seemed super tunnel-y on kush. Though tbh, tunneling townies is part of his scum and town meta. Hence why I have a hard time reading him. it was all the midway through the game shit with boson, kush, and dp. dp was tunneling kush, but he seemed to not really care too much if kush actually got lynched as long as there was another townie to mislynch. town dp rides his targets into the ground for better or worse From what I remember from Mafia LVII, he tried to ride people into the ground there as well (as scum). I'll look into it, but I'm not all too convinced about the meta read. Still pretty null on DP for the record. He's a little less active than I'm used to seeing him, though he's probably still asleep. Also, I'm interested in hearing your thoughts on some other players... howabout debears? I think he's much summier than DP at the moment. http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=381440¤tpage=37#726
I was asleep. now I have some free time which I am spending mainly on ACME.
I am keeping up with the thread though and will spend some good time on this game when I get back from going out tonight.

I am tired and a bit annoyed (upset? ;/) about the reactions towards me so I think I'm going to chill for the night and reevaluate my posts etc. I don't think what I have posted is as bad as people are making it out to be ( I know I've been a little terse and could probably offer more analysis instead of being lazy and just saying "I think x,y, and z" without sufficient explanation) but if so many people are saying the same thing there has to be some truth to it :[. Anyways enough self loathing, I'm going to relax and will be reading, rereading, and generally following the thread but probably won't post much until I've had some sleep and come on fresh tomorrow (with plenty of time before lynch time).

IRL. Don't believe it? Vote me. The only time I purposely avoided posting in mafia was my last game when Alsn said that he would take his vote off my scumbuddy if I didn't show up.
You weren't my top scumread. Hopeless was and still is. It's hard to make a better case/more arguments when he fails to post much.
I was going after you because your fucking flip flop had 0 townie reasoning for it when you had seen BH as suspcious 30 minutes earlier.

I never want to get that behind ever again. Ugh. That was painful. So many useless posts. I can see why blazing really hated me for posting so much fluff in WLIIA. That's what makes it so weird this game, though. He's posted so much stuff that doesn't matter and just takes up space. In WLIIA, he came down on me so hard because of the amount of fluff I posted. He clearly knows it is anti-town, yet still does it here. I don't understand it at all. If he hadn't claimed jailkeeper (which I'm still not sure I buy), I probably would be voting for him right now. I'm willing to give him a little time to shape up his posting, but if he hasn't done it by then, I want to lynch him.
I am also very confused by strong. I played with him both when he was town and scum, and he never played like this. I believe someone was talking about him possibly changing his meta because it was too obvious when he was scum. Basically he is playing weirdly and has a decent number of fluff posts. This makes me suspicious of him. I find him less scummy than blazing, though.
Other than that though, I just need to digest everything. I have a serious headache now after reading all of that. If you want me to respond to something ask me a question. Otherwise I'll probably come in here sometime after I wake up tomorrow and comment on the top cases. I don't know of any other way of making sense of everything that is happening without going crazy.
Oh and for anyone who is wondering why I chose blazing and strong to single out: blazing really stuck out with the amount of fluff he's been posting plus I know how he plays town because he just did it in WLIIA; as for strong , I've played with him in my last two games, plus I just figured out that he was scum in our last game, WLIIA, so his play is fresh on my mind.

If you look at my posting before the iamp stuff, I was focused on Hopeless. However, Hopeless failed to post much after that, and he still has. I feel like his lecturing + lack of posting is much more scum indicative than iamp's posting, hence my vote on hopeless and not iamp
And about the one liners. It was the first 14-18 hours of d1. Not much to go off of for big cases, especially with thrawn, dp, hopeless, kickstart, and crossfire contributing minimally. Wow that's 5/13 players. Hey thats more than 1/3 of the game!!!!!!!!!!!! Amazing
Hapa, why are you focusing me over the above stated 5 players?
Also Hapa, why are you attacking easy targets: S&B, Kickstart, Me(after i go afk).
What happened to your iamp scum read hapa?

I realize you disagree, but I think you're wrong. And to draw comparisons to the read on Kei you mentioned in GSL III - I find imaperfection's actions alone much more scummy than Kei's actions in GSL III. Kei has a history of reluctant D1 play. Iamperfection doesn't have a history of these things in his town play to my knowledge.

From your reactions so far, you're probably town. The "I don't give a fuck" thing has been on full display for the last few hours, and that meta read hasn't been wrong on you yet.
I also do like the post on Z-Bo, but I give him less townie points than you do. Z-Bo can push a read as either allignment, but I do agree he's being open so far.
I see that you override his in game play with meta on d1. Very interesting

You know I could make some half arse case and tunnel some bad townie really easily and then probably not get lynched right?
Now why am I not doing that? Because, as I have said. I have not had the time required to get reads that I am convinced are valuable to the thread.
I don;t want to just fake shit to keep myself alive.
Is that scummy or townie.
Yes I am playing badly. Yes I have excuses which are valid.
If you lynch me it is a mislynch. I feel I could genuinely contribute to the game when I have more time.
But I can understand where you are coming from also.
Please just ask why on earth I would play scum this way when I could easily tunnel some lynch bait.

Oh yeah for all of you debear haters out there right now

Let's take a look at my top scumread for most of d1, Hopeless
http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=381440&user=123725
Here's his filter link. There's not much in it. A bunch of one-liners with a couple of longer posts focused on my crossfire smurf/hapa discussion.
What has Hopeless done to make me think he is town? Absolutely nothing. He didn't vote me, yet half his filter is about me. He dropped his "pressure" on me pretty quickly. What has Hopless done to make me think he is scum? He came out lecturing town in one of his first posts here
On November 13 2012 10:50 Hopeless1der wrote: trying their best? doubtful so far. DP's been voted for rolling too much scum. Marv was voted because of some kind of promise. Hapa was voted for. SnB was voted for being 'retarded'. real Try-Hard material right there.
What had Hopeless done up to this point? Absolutely nothing. Why does he feel the need to lecture town? Because he has nothing to contribute
And honestly, there is nothing else to say on him still, cuz his posting is void of content

Slight suspicions on Clarity and S&B. But nothing that I would bring to the thread or push as a lynch. Just small mental notes of watch closely.
I am about to go out. I have some time before deadline when I will read some filters and dump some reads in the unhappy circumstance of my lynch.
I am not playing as well as I would like. The case on me is understandable.

On iamp
Alright guys, I really need someone to give me a good answer on this question, which everyone has failed to do
Why would town iamp 1) Switch his vote, agreeing with the case of someone he thought was scummy 30 minutes earlier after 1 case? 2) Switch his vote onto someone who he said was town earlier in the game?
Let's look at iamp's scumhunting so far:
Z-Bo. That's it. And guess what? His new scumread is me. Why??

This is the first mention of my scumminess the whole game. Why the sudden change? "I didn't realize he didn't have his vote on me". Really? I was making arguments against you and you aren't reading them then? Is that what is going on?

Iamp here are some questions for you. Answer them
1) Did you think you're reasoning on Z-Bo was strong? If so, 1. Why did you make a sudden 180 on your town read on his miller claim, especially that early d1? 2. Why did you go out of your way to point out your town read on him earlier with a weak "I guess so" statement if you thought you had a good case?
2) If not: Why did you even vote vote him?

EBWOP
Add this under 1) 3. Why did you vote with someone whom you had found suspicious only 30 minutes earlier, after such person (BH) only made one case that changed your mind?

Debears, posting where you were after the fact is useless. If you are going to be afk for 18-24 hours, you say so ahead of time. This way we know when to expect you back and it you don't show up at that time it will be suspicious. Meaning that if there's anything going on at that time and you don't respond to it it's super scummy. Now we have nothing to go on other than you posting some homework.

You're suspicious of one of my town reads and me, but you're not willing to even mention why? No one is asking for a case. If you are truly busy, yet you keep up with this thread, is typing up a message which takes a couple of minutes really too much?
I dislike how after you're being accused of being inactive and posting filler, you basically stopped posting altogether other than excuses. Now you post that you have two slight reads but won't share the information? How's that help town?

It's got to about the stage where I need to be telling people where I am and what I'm thinking.
DarthPunk - earlier in the day he was on my "do not lynch" list as I'd metad him townie. I no longer feel this way. The constant excuses (in relatively long posts too) are wearing me down. He knew how much time he was spending on mafia in the other game when he signed up to this one. If he spent any of the time he spent making excuses doing something productive then we'd be a lot better off. The problem with DP is that as scum I don't see him being quite that useless either, so meh. "Null" is a dull finish, but it's the kinda null where I'm being pulled both ways and I can't make up my mind either way.
debears - I wanted to be more suspicious of debears than I am, but I can't quite make myself again. There's just something about the way he's gone about his ideas, like... the manner he's questioned people on them, that make me think he could be townie. I think he's probably a wily enough operator to fool me like that though, so I'm gonna continue to be wary, but I don't want to lynch him right now.
thrawn - bleh.
Blazing - IF you are town, you need to not be telling Kickstart he is "bad or scum" .... "he can be ignored" ... "he is irrelevant to our discourse." Kickstart has done nothing which I deem to be bad play and wanting to ignore a (however new) player like that is just horrible. Yuck.
Crossfire - I was hoping for something a little more substantive than that after your re-read. The fact you failed to provide it makes me suspicious.
s&b - If you're town, please do something.
Hopeless - My current lynch choice. The only thing he has given to town is his musings on debears' inability to read the thread. At the time I did like that he dropped it when I asked him to, however he hasn't offered town anything at all since. I literally cannot find an opinion from Hopeless on anyone.

From what I have heard around the grapevine however he is fairly easy to read as scum so we should be fine to take a look at him later on in the game. you kidding? I'd lynch him day 1 in a heartbeat if I thought he was scum. Well. That is fine. But I am not going to lynch him day one when he is a very good town player and the only case against him so far is that he is lurking. The night (or day in terms of our game i guess!) is young, I wouldn't call anyone a lurker just yet. But I agree with marv that people who give off scum vibes should get the vote and find it odd that you are basically stating that you wouldn't vote for him no matter what ;o. Yep. I would not. I would not vote day one for Hapa or marv either. Unless there was something super obvious I would not vote for them. But I do not think that would happen because they are all good players and that is why I respect them I suppose. Honestly I think it's bad to tie yourself down with ideas like that. If someone's playing scummy, they're playing scummy. My scum play isn't amazing, but due to my extreme sex appeal and enormous intelligence and penis, I can assure you that it's improved a great deal. Mostly it's due to my large penis-- it is quite a monstrosity. It works as a pad, even. Back on topic, don't feel like you can't vote or push people because of possible contributions. This kind of play is lazy and puts preconceived notions of what certain players are worth ahead of behavioral analysis. Someone voting for me because they legitimately think I'm scum and they have the cojones to do it is infinitely more helpful to town than someone not voting me because I'm a sexy baller. That being said, iamperfection's vote is pretty typical iamperfection throwing his vote around trying to pressure people but not doing it effectively. He needs to realize that you should vote people when you want to lynch them, or else you won't be taken seriously. LOL dont you dare talk down to me you little punk. His first point is BH's reasoning. His second point is the "imperfection rule"...Really??????? Also, remember that it was and is the first half of d1 at this point. Why is he jumping on Z-Bo for two fucking posts? Why is he jumping on a case from a person whom he thought was suspicious 30 minutes prior? See how poor that reasoning is? When you switch from a town read to a scum read, you're reasoning should be pretty good. An apparent guilty conscienceI know i said early on that i thought the miller claim was more of a town tell but well i think zbos actions speak louder. Ok. What does this line from his vote post on Z-Bo tell us about iamp? 1) He cares about how the town is viewing him 2) He doesn't believe his reasoning is that great for his vote -note the "well I think his actions speak louder". It's a weak statement. Not a strong one, (a strong one) which should be warranted when you change your read from town to scum in literally no timePoint 1 is a null tell. Point 2 doesn't make any sense from a townie perspective. What are your guy's thoughts??? The only thing I really disagree with is the 'guilty conscience' as I would probably do the same thing. However, he not only flipflopped his town read, he sheeped his former scumread, with poorly explained reasoning as noted. I need to review his meta looking for posts like this: Show nested quote +On November 13 2012 10:35 iamperfection wrote:also ## Unvote HapaI liked his thinking in this post On November 13 2012 10:25 Hapahauli wrote:On November 13 2012 10:14 Clarity_nl wrote: It's not like he flavor claimed, thinking others didn't know the flavor. How are those situations alike? You don't think it's a weird move for a VT to claim VT day 1? No I don't find it weird. I think it's just a pointless comment that can be made by either alignment. Again, see Mr. Cheesecake's "odd" VT claim time in the Newbie game. Him trusting Z-Bo's claim so up-front is a bit strange, but again, I don't know if it's just bad logic or scum knowing who's who. I haven't seen anything alignment indicative from him yet. For now... This post is so trivial...the explanation is like asking "Why?" and getting the answer "Because."
This post. It looks like he might be saying something but actually he isn't. It's just summing up the post he's responding to, and summarising. He needs to review iamp's meta but has not, despite making a post half an hour after this one indicating he was still around with the capability to do so.
