I cant help but feel that it probably lead to hopeless shooting me, which was a terrible shot. I didn't shoot you, I didn't lynch you, and I had numerous opportunities to do both. If you're not personally capable enough to prove yourself townie against a feint from me, that's not my problem. Maybe you should be talking to the guy who shot you, or examining your own play, since you were the one who absorbed a bullet. EDIT: For what it's worth, I did find you a bit scummy. You weren't really worth a bullet though, and certainly not a lynch.
Relax a bit would you? The point of post game discussion is to talk about the game and how it unfolded.

Fair enough. Just some advice for you.

So you knew you were a blue, and still didn't claim? You could have claimed your name, at least. Like, why not employ that tool to keep yourself alive?

I do analyze my own play, every game, and i'm the harshest judge.
A majority of the town knew I was town.
Unfortunately the two who seemed to question it were the two confirmed blues, ultimately leading to my death. I cant control what everyone else does, but at least I can try to offer advice so it doesn't happen in the future.

Well, next game I'll make extra sure not to lynch or shoot you (if you are town)

I should have done a lot of things differently, especially concerning the claiming business. I play a very lazy game that I hope I can change because my reads were so lackluster I ended up relying on my blue powers instead of playing Mafia properly.

While we're talking about advice on play, any advice on my play? I know I got carried away with the first game and posted too much fluff and some of my stuff was hard to understand, but any advice other than that.
Oh. I might as well say this now to explain what I did with the whole claiming fiasco. Basically I checked my role PM before the game started and knew I was town. I happened to be in the middle of writing my long fluffy post when I saw chezinu's post asking people to claim VT. I didn't think too much about it and claimed in that rhyme. After I thought about the game some more, I realized that that wasn't a good idea because it gives scum too much of an advantage. I figured that our blues weren't that powerful this game, but we knew there were 4 of them and if we already had 2 claimed VT, that left what like 6 people to pick out of to find 4 blues. (Now mind you this was day 1 before I figured out anything about the game.) Realizing that, I wanted a way to take back my claim, so I pulled that whole I didn't check my PM thing just to confuse everyone. Anyway that's the actual story on what happened there.

Honestly I had to stretch to make a case on you or stutters yesterday. Your play was pretty solid, just those few little things. Had it been a different situation where I didn't "know" the scum was one of you two, I wouldn't have voted for either of you.
|
Crossfire: I thought you played well.
I knew you were town, you were on the right lynch for the two days that you were alive, so your reads were in the right direction.
Hopeless: I'd suggest not relying on your blue power so much, but you're already aware of that by the look of it. I can only really offer advice for the first 2 days, as I skim read the thread after my departure, but try to find players not operating with a townie mindset. BKE was an easy mis-lynch because he was having trouble articulating his thoughts, but Mementoss was clearly voting for someone he just said 'I can see his actions from a townie perspective as well'. Day two was pretty much a wash of inactivity because the lynch was already predetermined by the N1 flip. Your reactions to my pressure was producing some weird results. Obviously the reveal on N2 explained why that was the case, but try to act less like you have inside information - or if you're going to postulate 'I have all the answers', enlighten the rest of town as to what information you have and where it came from. As regards to your blue actions, I'd suggest using blue powers with less dire consequences if you're not 100% sold on your reads.

Two things: no idea why host didn't accept scumQT actions night 1 when TL was down for indeterminate periods of time for different people. I was one of the people who told s&b to outright quit the game, that's pretty outrageous modding imo.
Secondly the vig shot on Adam was the worst vig shot I've ever seen. Hilarious but awful.
Draw is kinda fair when all is said and done.
