I've noted some discrepancies in mr. Sloosh's play here. Let's do this. First thing he says: On October 01 2012 06:15 slOosh wrote: This is the most upsetting start to a game I've played. VE I don't see your issue with annul - or are you doing one of those reaction things because its leaning on the destructive side right now. He seems rather confident in this post. He wants people to be assertive about their reads. However, this later comes out as an extremely fluffy "I care about town" post, because look at his next post. Regardless, this is also a rather weak tone. The rest of his game, however, seems consistent with his original view. I just find this slight break in it rather weird. Even though he was 3rd party, he was a pretty freakin townie one. His reads were much more assertive and he didn't fret with "I feel this" or "I feel that". I've noted some differences in his play and his initial post seemed like an uncharacteristic fluff. For those of you who have played with him, how does his play so far compare? | ||

Yea I'd go further and put him at probable scum given his latest post. His comments on players are more summaries and recaps of thread sentiments, he shies away from making any concrete stances, and does a good job spreading suspicions over a large pool even on his not-scum reads. He hasn't bothered to comment / vote on marv so it shows that he isn't actually reading the thread, but wants to make sure he is seen with contribution, probably in light his name being brought up for discussion by us. | ||

I had a look at his previous game (I believe his first game?). This is Hapa's synopsis of Sharrant's play that game, which I feel is more reliable than any kind of meta statement I could make about Sharrant. Sharrant: You're well-spoken and calm, which are huge assets to have as a townie. You have a taste for making "list" posts of players which I'd advise against. You don't have to make your opinions known on every single player in the game - listing your top scumread (or two) is enough unless requested otherwise. Focus more on questioning your top scumreads and scummy players. I looked through his filters for each game, and Hapa's synopsis seems accurate. Two differences that I could see between each game are that he's less active (number of posts) and is actively participating less (less interaction between him and other players). When I think of his contributions in the previous game, the lists are an addition to his townie contributions. In this game they seem like the main attraction. These two things are enough to make me lean scum. However, I don't see his lack of a vote on marv at the moment as particularly scummy. Wouldn't anyone returning to the thread want to get a vote on marv at this point? Why is scum more likely to forget to vote than town? Also, Sharrant's clearly read the thread, since his only post since returning mentions marv from a scum perspective 2-3 times. While Sharrant can still be said to be playing to his town meta (of one game), he looks scummier compared to his previous play. I wouldn't say it's because of his marv-related activities, but his means of interacting with the thread. | ||

Yet he from the previous post I can imply that he thinks its neither a townie nor scum trait. Yet he never explicitly says that he thinks it is a scum or town trait. You could argue that the first question implied that he thought Shady was town, but even so why didn't Matt just come out and say it? I think its because he wanted the lynch to blossom into what it did. This lack of commitment to one side or the other makes him scum in my eyes. From there he goes and makes a vote for KJ (puts up austin/sloosh/coag), drops the vote. Out of those three he only pulls sloosh as scum. | ||

scum find it hard to troll because they are extremely aware of how they post in the thread. normally if shady had not made his post pre-game about trolling, he would be scum 9 outta 10 times. Because of his pre-game post, it makes his trolling non-alignment telling because he was probably going to troll regardless of his alignment. Its not wishy-washy its my thought process. What is scummy about me expressing my thoughts on the matter again? | ||

Killing third parties furthers both of our win conditions. ~~~~~ does anyone know who said a quote along these lines "we will deal with the lurkers later but for right now there is a ton of scumminess in this thread that needs to be dealt with" Who the fuck said that!? I've been thinking about that quote alot but I cant' find it in anyone's filter. ~~~~~ No one is making any cases I find particularly compelling. Darth's on keirathi is fine but how I look at it, it's mostly based on lurking. Where are the sexy cases people!! Don't look at me beacuse 1 it would probably suck even worse than z boson's 2 dont have the effort in my right now | ||
