I find it demotivating to have to deal with all other townies. :p I'm 1-2 so far and the win I've felt I didnt contribute much to and the losses I felt I lost to stuff outside of my control although Im definitely in no way a super town player. All town games have left a somewhat bitter taste. But a satisfying town win would be me cracking some scummy player and then nailing him down and getting town to vote for him. The problem is not only the fact that Im probably often wrong but even when Im right its pretty hard to get people to listen to you. On the other hand as mafia you are probably on average much more a part of the reason why your team wins. Plus I think people seem to consider my play townish and I wanna see if I can keep that up as scum to fool people. | ||

Kreb Coag and iamp was all already acting like townies (This does not mean you played well). Actually coag didn't act like a townie, he had a greencheck. But I also trusted him from a balance perspective when the scum had Marv and Node and BC was third party. All my final reads was before Viscera was lynched, didn't care after that. Just looking at the thread made me angry. Game of Thrones Mafia all over again. Mattchew. I'm tired of him joining games when he doesn't have the time or motivation to play them. Make him sit out two games if he wants to play a game here again. Thanks to DoctorHelvetica, BioSC & HiroPro for hosting the game. | ||

I acknowledged that my scumhunting would probably be below par, at least initally. But a bad town looking like a townie I've learned is waaay "better" than a bad townie looking scummy. People seems to be all up about scumhunting but not enough people care enough to work on their own image as towny when they are town, to avoid suspicion from other town. Indeed, all the inactive townies just barely saying anything in a game are very annoying since they provide a healthy amount of cover for the mafia to play "bad". | ||

Kreb, if you'd have lynched VE all over again, then you've learnt nothing from this game. Go back and look at what you did wrong. slOosh - not sure why you're even asking. Why would you need to fuck with your town meta to play scum? It makes no sense. You were just *so* goddamn far off your town meta, and actually you're a good enough / clever enough dude for this not to be the case. Post more, push more cases, etc. - it's very simple... VE, dunno why you didn't just accept framer, when I'd already flipped showing that I didn't just show up as town, but Lucky Citizen, as godfather - i.e. there was a precedent for role being changed as well as alignment | ||

Making fake reads and cases for a couple of weeks just gets so fucking boring. With a bit of distance from XXVII, being afk late game is probably a decent scum tell. Don't know how I'll feel about playing town late game though. I only have 1 game (1 day) of town play and 3 games (11 days) of scum play. What are the odds? If I get scum again next game I play I'll seriously quit this fucking game for good :p | ||

I didn't follow the game very closely, just my 2c... 1) You seemed to use occam's razor to conclude it was a fake claim. That was weird to me, considering a fake claim followed with what VE posted after the claim would be quite the elaborate plan (it included coroner speculation, not sending in NKs in order to make it look real, fake roleblock claims etc). Occam's razor would conclude the claim was real and that after Kush flipped either 1) he was framed or 2) there were some other mechanic at play. 2) There was no counter claim. 3) Verified flips. 4) If VEs claim is real, you're lynching a powerful blue role. If it's fake, you're more likely ending up lynching a mafia goon. | ||
