We raided the faction "nobodies". Stole some diamond from them, weren't able to get their power low enough to raid their chests cause they went to town (and ragequit eventually).

We did talk to one guy in their faction (Simiard) for quite a while. He was hilarious and because he entertained us so much we decided to declare peace. Thus, we have left nobodies alone, and are now considering them as potential allies :D

Thoughts on an allegiance with them? They're mostly harmless, especially now that they've been de-diamonded.

Well, why would we want them to ally with us if they are in fact so weak?

Gonna take a page out of the Total War games: we can become protectorates of weak factions, but for a price. They must pay tribute to use to be our allies. If these tributes cease, then we destroy them.

With our current setup i would say that Mysterious = Good. Offer this protection, but don't be overly helpful and only if it gets us more stuff. and don't let on how powerful we actually are to them. or anyone really.

So how big a factor is combat, and what is the combat system like?

I've never played minecraft, and am still thinking of picking this up. However, I'll have no idea what I'm doing, and won't want to wreck anything unintentionally.

I am good at killing things in games though. :p

(I can pick up everything I need to in-game, I just felt like posting, and still want to murder things, I should start up a bounty-hunting service, haha)

The faction combat is a pretty big deal, however we don't have to worry about it too much, we can give you more info in game (can't give the scum too much info can we?). The basics are pretty east to pick up, at least they were for me. iGrok was very helpful to me especially.

Ok, but how does combat work in-game? Is it just spamming an attack button against each-other, or is there more complexity to it like blocking, weapon ranges and speeds, etc.?

That's what I'm wondering, what are the mechanics of combat in minecraft? :p

(I can't imagine it's too complicated, but I'm curious)

lol these bandits guys are really pissing me of. i helped on of them cause im too nice a person. then i was creeper hunting and one of them just killed me and took some pretty cool stuff -.-i thought people can only attack you when you are at war??
