I'll give you my logic step by step: Player A - [4][19] Player B - [7][12] Player C - [1][6] Player D - [7][8] Player E - [1][8] Player F - [1][20] 1. Players C, E, and F all chose [1] as their first number so they go to the bottom. The next highest is A with [4] and no conflicts so he's locked in as #1. B and C both chose [7] so they go to the end of the list after C E F. 2. a. Among the bottom there's two ways of considering them all. Just consider their second number, or consider the ones who chose [1] as their first number first and THEN consider those who chose [7.] In this branch I chose to use the former method. This would suggest C goes next, then B, then F, and then E and lastly D. I don't think this is how the system works, though, so let's ignore that ordering. The other way is to say okay, consider all the guys who chose [1] in order of their second number. That would be C E F. Then the guys who chose [7], D before B. A C E F D B. How do you get A D B C E F?

How do you get A D B C E F? Here is how it works, uniquness of the first number is the first sorting criteria, followed by proximity to #1, that is if there are 4 people with #5 and 2 with #18 #18 wins out. In this example player A has the most unique number (picked the least number of times) #4, so he gets the first spot, #7 is the next most "unique" number, so it gets the next spot, then all the #1's who are the least unique end up last in the cue. Then you sort by uniqueness of the second number, since they are all unique you sort by proximity to #1. and voila, it all makes sense: Player A - [4][19] Player D - [7][8] Player B - [7][12] Player C - [1][6] Player E - [1][8] Player F - [1][20] Does that make sense to you now? EDIT: Basically a less picked number goes higher than a more picked number.
