I would like one person who has never hosted to co-host Classified Mafia. If you're looking for hosting experience in themed games, this is a good one to start with.

Hey, would you guys be interested in a "Super-Mafia-Spreadsheet" template for people to use, that can basically do everything you want a spreadsheet to do, for townies and scum to use?
I had made a very simple one for the Shadowed Game, and posted it in the Newbie game: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AuVeGoqkQ7z4dHF2d3I0Y0hxNDFiMWd4YnpfVkVFNlE&usp=sharing#gid=5
But yeah it's very incomplete, has lots of manual work that could be automated (for instance creating the new Day/Night sheets, including the names of the players in each of them, etc).
It would be nice maybe to have an "official" spreadsheet template we can all work on and continually improve. I can improve it too, but well, if nobody is going to use it not really. Also the more people developing it might make it be better faster (since I'm kind of lazy and may not do much lol).
Then it could be included in the OPs with instructions how to use, maybe even with additional rules (you can't post it in the thread perhaps?). Maybe the hosts, in each game, can create a spreadsheet for every player in the game, thus that initial work is already done and the players can straight up start using it.
I dunno if Google Scripts has good HTTP Request+HTML scrapping capabilities (tried googling but didn't find much). Maybe with some work it could be used to like create updated votecounts and the like automatically on each spreadsheet, and maybe other stuff. Dunno, a man can dream.
Also yeah, posting it here because dunno where to post. I guess this thread is my "dump thoughts and ideas" thread lol

This is great, a few points
-For theme games, the role section should be expanded as well as an area to add notes about interactions about the roles -It would be nice to have a night action resolution section for the night posts -Likewise there should be a section in the day tabs for day actions. -Automated votecounts would be really nice, especially since you could then just hide the rest of the sheets and link everyone the docs (the function you need is VLOOKUP)
If I host another normalish game soon I would do the modifications myself

Hmm From what I understand, you think the host should have a single spreadsheet, and give access to each player to certain parts of it, while the host has access to everything? I was thinking about the other way round, each player has a different copy of it, where they can do whatever they want on it (for instance, put their thoughts on other players, etc). The automatic votecounts I think would be a little outdated if only the host can update them, maybe? A player that is active in the thread, while the host is not, won't be able to see an updated votecount your way, while if he can update a local spreadsheet by himself, he can add the votes himself as he sees them happening and get the votecount immediately. Although each player would have that spreadsheet open in another tab and regularly check it for the votecount and stuff. Hmm, might work. Either way, if there is only a single spreadsheet that everybody can use, how do you allow every player to put their thoughts and reads on players (like they normally do on spreadsheets)?
Yes, that spreadsheet was for the Shadow game which is super simple (had no night actions). I assume it'll need a revamp to include anything you'd want included in a Theme game or other normal games, etc. The more general the template is, the better (i.e if you can use it for both normal and themed games)
Also I assume we would create a new template, and give a bunch of guys admin permission over it. That way lots of us can modify the scripts and the like. Well, I guess we (I) can give permissions to that one instead.
To be honest, I'd prefer using Google Scripts for most of the stuff rather than use the spreadsheet functions like VLOOKUP and the like. Seems simpler to me, and more customizable (for instance, you could add new rows and columns and change stuff without worrying). Also I never really understood those "spreadsheet functions"

Ill put the game up when Crossfire's fills, but it won't start until his is over probably. It won't be for a while regardless.
