I'm also a newbie, but from what I've read in the past games, it's not only possible, it's required to do so. This is usually done by randomly picking (be it one of the actives, one of the inactives, or both).
I'm not sure how it will go THIS game, but I'm sure that we'll find out as soon as the more experienced players will start posting.

Awesome start, just when I was about to hit the sack for a few hours.
So, as far as I can tell, nobody in the game died (which is good, I guess, it seems it happened in other games), so we're off to a fresh start.
Could we have some of the more experienced players share some ideas on how we should go about the first day?

There's just one thing that strikes me as really odd (i know, but bear with me!).
Korynne was killed by some man who didn't make himself noticed until he had to. Obviously some kind of trickery, but he starts from a coffee shop in both stories (i know the first one doesn't count but still).
So it's a silenced gun shot, from someone related to a coffee shop. That's about all I can come up with that hasn't been said so far.

There was only one other person in the cafe and she couldn't help but get a weird feeling from him. As she left the cafe and got into her car she could sense he was following her. She drove for a long distance and when she stopped in her driveway she could swear she heard a noise in the backseat. She looked behind her and saw nothing. Her mind was playing tricks on her.
She turned her head back to find something much worse. The man from the cafe was sitting in the passenger seat of her car and had a gun pressed to her temple. The gunshot was silenced, her body wouldn't be found until the morning.
Oh I see how it is, I'm the only female and I'm a nurse. Also I'm offended that I was not sexually assaulted before my death.
Why "BEFORE my death"? Can you not settle with "after"?

The HeavOnEarth and Masq finds are pretty good. I haven't gotten to look through all the profiles, but those are the most promising I've seen so far.
True, I don't know how RELEVANT it is, but it's basically one of the very few clues that we can get from Korynne's killing, no?
Also Incognito said something about getting the coffee reference, not sure what that meant but who knows. Not saying we should push this, but we should take something out of her death as well.

I disagree. DrH said that we should disregard the first one, but let's not for a few seconds. He said there was ONE error that had potential to fuck up the game. Just one. I know roles have been shifted but perhaps not all of them? I mean, at least one of the deaths is identical to the first version. I wouldn't rule it out.

Right. I woke up from my morning 8-hour nap.
Now, I've read through the pages but it seemed to go downhill rather than closing in on suspects. I realize that this is hard to do, especially on day 1, but we should be very methodical about this.
What we have so far are clues, activity level, reaction to being voted, and that's about it. Now, the jack-o-lantern clue just MAY be too obvious, but I'm not convinced I should change my vote yet. If that wasn't a clue then I don't know what was. Too obvious? Maybe. But what else could it mean? I would like to hear a second suspect that would fit into that profile. I failed to find any.
Also, at first I thought that votes against coagulation were silly, but after seeing how much he fretted about it, I'm not so sure. I would probably be displeased as well, and certainly wouldn't want to get lynched in day1, but he does seem rather suspicious.
Come on people, time is slowing running out, let's come up with some solid arguments.

While it's possible it's "too obvious" to some, as soon as I realised it can't have been a Jack O'Lantern framing, the more it seems that's the only lead.
Seems likely to me and that a possible miss-lynch wouldn't be too much of an issue. After spending time reading rules, I do agree that miss-lynch on the first day is not a big issue. We have 61 players here, with 22 reds. That we have 39 greens/blues. Considering that mafias and vampires each can kill up to 3 people (or have to kill three people I'm not sure, might need clarification on this), we can say that on the first day plus first night, there will be up to 7 people dead. If all dead are hit at townie, then townie will have 32 player left. And worst case would be 7 of either vampire or mafia are killed (only single side), which I believe is very unlikely.
Not that it's very relevant, but you couldn't get 7 kills on vampire or mafia since they know who they are and would not use their 3 kills on their own team. So tops would be 4 kills on one side and 3 kills on the other, which wouldn't be TOO bad. It would make the game fairly interesting, since all sides gain from killing the other sides, so it would still be fairly even in terms of Mafia vs Vampires, but the Townies would have the advantage.
As for masq, as I said in the beginning, it may not be the smartest thing to go on with such an obvious clue, but then again what other options do we have? Really, no other clues come close to this in my opinion. If we find someone who's more likely, then I'd gladly change my vote.

^ Interesting points off NB.
I also noticed that jodogohoo changed votes constantly, was wondering why that is, I didn't really think about the fact that it's ok to go with the flow if you know who NOT to vote for, but if that's the case, it means that everyone he voted for are not from his 'family' (assuming he's either M or V), which brings us back to square one, sort-of. It could also mean that, if all NB saying proves to be true, if Veldril and Masq are in the same team, then jodogohoo is on the other (example: if vel and masq are mafia, jodogohoo is vamp).
Basically, as time progresses, I think I'll change my vote not to who I think is more likely to be Mafia or Vampire, but to whom seems to "drag us down" the most. Someone who constantly changes his mind with every few posts may not be so helpful later on.
...I'm still not changing my vote though, not yet.
|
I don't agree with the "we won't be able to gather enough votes on Veldril" thing.
It only takes 3 people to change their vote to tip the scales in Veldril's favor. And those who voted for Masq are probably suspicious of Veldril now as well.

After a lot of thinking, offline, I decided I will not change my vote from Masq. This is why: (and most of this post is directed at Bill Murray, for he is the one that thinks lynching Veldril is better for now) I don't see any reason in killing Veldril first. For Masq: Scenario A: Masq IS Mafia/Vamp. The next day, Veldril dies anyway, since he was so quick to defend him. People won't pay attention to what he says in Day 2 anyway, since we will be almost certain he needs to be lynched. Correct? Scenario B: Masq IS NOT Mafia/Vamp. Then Veldril was defending him for nothing, or just to cause confusion, or just because he's being a bit of a newbie. Faith of Veldril is to be determined in Day 2. For Veldril Scenario A: We kill Veldril, he is Mafia/Vamp. Masq will probably die as well, but we still can't be 100% sure he is also M/V. Maybe Veldril was just trying to cause chaos Scenario B: We kill Veldril, he is not M/V. Everyone is confused, Masq will probably not be killed, we accomplished nothing.
So I don't see why going for Veldril first is better, since it would not give us any info about Masq. Instead, if Masq is M/V and we lynch him, we will know (90% sure) that Veldril is also M/V. To me, if we go for Veldril first, and he is M/V, the chances of him just trying to stir stuff up are pretty high, so I'd only be 75% sure that Masq is also M/V
So, as a bottom line, I think that going for Masq will bring more clarity to me than going for Veldril. This is somewhat related to me relying on the clues a bit too much. I understand they are not damning, but I just can't let something this huge slide.
If I'm missing a reason why Veldril should be killed first, feel free to enlighten me.

My final remark about the jack-o-latern in an attempt to not let my upcoming death go to waste. The ghost whoever you are. You have a decision that could greatly disadvantage or help the town. If you make the wrong decision, I assure you that you will regret it, dearly. I want you to make your decision to save me base on these to factors: 1. does the mafia think that your going to save me that they are willing to send a brute? 2. does the mafia think that your not coming that they will send a mere killer. please consider these two factors and hopefully, based on the tone of everyone, you'll be able to find the right answer.
I'm not replying to your remark, but to you in general.
I don't understand why you would go and do this, unless you're Frankie and want the Vamps to waste brute, OR unless you're a mafia/vamp who is planning to rid the town of their ghost by sacrificing themselves.
Either of these scenarios is more plausible than you being the JoL and deciding to stand up and screw yourself for no apparent good reason.
If you are, indeed, the JoL, I believe it was a poor decision, and the town probably won't suffer much of a loss by not having you around.
Just my 2 cents.
Also, I'm quite seriously considering lynching you.

So, back to the question at hand:
1. We kill Masq. - he was M/V then we know for sure if Veldril is M/V, we molest him too, end of story - he was not M/V, then Veldril was just being overly enthusiastic, or trying to stir stuff up, Veldril chances of survival: 50/50
2. We kill Veldril. - he was M/V then we know that Masq ---> MIGHT <--- also be M/V, we will prolly kill him too - he was not M/V, everyone is confused, Masq might survive later in the game.
To me, it seems that I will get a more clear view of the game by killing Masq. Almost 24h in, still not changing my vote. Time for sleep. XoXo.

Yes it's stated quite clearly that neither Gravedigger nor Creeper will know that they show up as M/V when investigated.
Which is odd, but I guess it will be fun to see when someone gets outed as being Mafia/Vamp, if they manage to talk their way out of it by claiming they are Gravedigger/Creeper.
|
I don't get this bandwaggoning that's going on.
WHY is Veldril more important than Masq? We are only voting for him BECAUSE he tried to defend Masq, so if we're voting for him, then we just assume that Masq is also M/V. Correct?
So why not be methodical about it, and start with Masq? If he proves to be a Mafia/Vamp, then we'll know for sure that so is Veldril. If not, then our whole premise was wrong and we should rethink our steps.
How is this an issue? WHY VELDRIL FIRST?
I don't get the reasoning here.

I think he messaged all the (active) players.
Doesn't matter much tho, it's not like it's incriminating to PM someone. I have PMed people as well.

Asking who we are suspicious about doesn't seem "anti-town". It's the first day, and most of us have blatantly said who we suspect in the thread.
YOUR post however, for someone who was very quiet till now, but voted for Veldril seems more suspicious. Not saying it's incriminating, but suspicious. (i'm referring to kingjames01)
|
Ok, one final post to strengthen my position, since we're rapidly approaching end of day one and it seems that it's either Masq or Veldril:
1. Don't you find it weird that people who have been quiet, yet voted, are stacking up on Veldril?
2. If you're sure about Veldril, then keep your vote, but please think about what I said for 5 minutes. What happens if the kill (be it Vel or Masq) is NOT Mafia or Vampire. What would that tell us about the other?
Obviously, if we kill either, and they ARE in fact M/V, then the other will die as well. Easy PZ. But think of the alternatives, what if they're not?
If we kill Veldril, and he's not M/V, then we know NOTHING about masq (because of lack of posts). If we kill Masq, we still have Veldril's behaviour to judge him on.

Yes, I thought about that, but it's a bit of a long shot. I don't think you'll convince many people to vote for Masq on day 2 if Veldril is green.

Masq is my vote, and if hes scum, then we can sift through the current list of masq people for his opposite faction. What if he isn't scum? Then we have absolutely no lead to go from. We'll be put off from voting Veldril and the vote lists mean squat. I don't want to rely on clues (might be because of my lack of experience in clue based games), I'd rather play this out from behaviour. Veldril is much more obvious than Masq in behaviour. Veldril defended him yet Masq voted for Veldril. What does this mean? I don't want to think about it. Call me naive but I really don't think Masq is scum. I mean if I was new to this game and I had such an important role, I'd be defending myself (using crap arguments since I'm new) to death. Masq is not doing this. On the other hand, Veldril is. (refer to my earlier post) I implore you to change your vote to Veldril, I don't care what these 'clues' say, if they're as obvious as the jack-o-lantern thing then all the other clues would be just as obvious. I'm pretty sure DoctorHelvetica isn't stupid enough to make one clue blindingly obvious and all the others vague as hell. And yes, I am defending Masq and accusing Veldril.
I'm one of the people who stood by my vote for Masq since the beginning, and I noticed something, which may be a coincidence.
Everytime we zoned in on Masq, something happened to made ppl lose focus. First it was Veldril, then azo, and so on. All the while Masq is saying NOTHING, but voting.
And it's easy to go and defend Masq when there's way you'll be lynched before the end of day.

So he might be a veteran but not very good at being sneaky.
I suggest we trust DrH that he wouldn't let things like 2 accounts per player slide, and just play the game.
Also, I understand why people would prefer Veldril dead as well, not going to hang anyone for that, but I just don't see it as clear as I see masq. It might be my noobness to the game smudging my vision, but hey, at least I'll be proven wrong and know not to judge people by clues and the fact that they're acting fishy as heck.

Just woke up.
And FUCK YEAH. I got a correct lynch in the first day of my first game. Too bad all this shit-talking took away my glory.
So, I'm gonna lay down and be quiet(er) until day 2 arrives. No point in all this speculation without new clues, and the whole BM spamming threw this thread way off track.
Only question is: should we lynch Veldril as well? I'm really 50-50 on that decision. My initial feeling was that Masq is M/V and Veldril is a bit of a newbie who was over-zealous with his opinion, and got the public's attention. Now do I go with that and try to broaden my horizons, or do I just say "fuck it" and vote for Veldril? Decisions decisions.

I want to vote for BM's replacement, but I can't help thinking it's sort-of unfair.
Why? Well, if you read the mafia ban list thread, you'll see that:
1. BM threatened to reveal ALL his PMs 2. DrH was "shocked" about him doing this.
Now, of course, I know that DrH could be shocked because BM is a veteran, and he shouldn't have acted like that, sure, but also, he could have been surprised because revealing his PMs would ruin the game.
And it would only ruin the game if he were M/V, and he got a lot of PMs from the other team members. Also, BM claimed to have >70 PMs, why would a townie have so many PMs?
I don't know. I'd like NOT to vote for him, for the sake of the "good-game-spirit", but in my head, I'm 90% sure he is M/V.

I'm suspicious of why did Heaven On Earth slip away from everyone's radar.
I understand that focus is lost easily in this game, as it has been proven over and over again, but come on! I'm not making accusations just yet, as I didn't really have time to read the entire thread (shit moves fast yo!), but as soon as I'm done reading the clues 100 times more and checking everyone's profile, I'll come up with a vote.
Yes, I'm a sucker for clues. So far it worked 100% of the times I voted based on clues! (1/1)

He messaged more or less everyone who posted about who their top suspects were. This would no doubt generate a lot of messages.
Yes, it -somewhat- explains the number of messages, but then again, it's the kind of thing a red would do. Pick-up clues. Also, the thing that urges me on is DrH's reaction to BM's threat. It's not damning, but it's sure suspicious. I explained why. He's not off my radar.
And thirdly, does't it strike you as odd that all but one kills were on target? I mean sure, M/V have more information, but this was A LOT of information. Basically, only one or two of the kills tonight even came up in our suspects list, how did the others know who to go for? I'm intrigued.

Cool, I'm being suspected, makes me feel important!
Anyway, you can check, this is my first game, so I didn't really think that NOT voting for Veldril on the first hour of day 2 would somewhat incriminate me. I guess it makes sense, since it does seem that I tried to cast blame OFF Veldril TO Masq (and I did, lol), but it was also fairly obvious back then that Veldril would die if Masq is mafia.
This is reflected in today's votes, but me voting for him as well (now that I've been accused) will only look like an attempt to cover my tracks. I probably WILL end up voting for him anyway, since nobody else seems close to being more of a positive match, but since he's already heavily under the gun, I don't think my vote in particular would cause more pressure (he's currently top voted with 10 votes vs 2 votes for the next candidate).
However, my biggest problem as of now, is not who to vote for, since I already have Veldril to aim for, but who ELSE is a suspect.
Think about it, on day one we had masq, and then a shitstorm of posts that incriminated a lot of people (and if you don't believe that they did, take a look at the kill count in night 1). I, frankly, didn't catch those "hints" which has me worried.
If Mafia/Vamp managed to aim correctly since night one, then those hints were there, for sure. Why did we not see them as well? What are we not seeing now?
I need to go through all this thread again but I don't have time right now, and it's only getting bigger. After that (prolly in about 12h or so), I'll set my vote. Frankly, I think that I'll end up voting for Veldril anyway, but I'm not convinced that he's Vamp just yet, I was way, way more "sure" of masq. Downside is that, apart from him, everyone else is just a blur.

It's not just that. There are some people who have gained a lot of suspicion, but none nearly as much as Veldril, AND if we're right, it will reduce Vamp KP by 1. So it's a pretty high-priority target.
...unless we're wrong, which is what I'm most scared of right now.

Gut feeling now says: BM's successor.

Right so, next vote goes towards aztrorix. He's such an attention whore that I can't stand it anymore. Secret code? Why not just give the guy your fucking message and tell him to divulge when you're dead.
What kind of fucked up reasoning do you have? How important do you think you are?
God.
Even if you ARE the JoL, and you KNOW as much about the game as you think (which, clearly, you don't, but let's go with it), then you dying will kill 2 important targets. So why NOT? So far I was smiling and such at all the rage going on, but this is the second time you've gone out of your way to make things complicated for the townies. My vote will stick with you till you die. Mark my words.

Honestly though, Azstorkisks message signals to me at least he's struck a deal with someone in PM. The fact that everyone is rallying around pandain and his message mentioned him (azt's "Ill just add more notes" post pretty much confirms annul got it right) suggests he's the liaison at the very least - no great news to anyone. What scares me is that it shows players are more than willing to just give pandain control, so he's in a position to swing the game however he likes depending on his faction. I'll give you a hint for that comment: wp6e4 means SpydR
Lol. So it's:
w -> s (key below) p -> p 6 -> y (key below) e -> d (key below) 4 -> r (key below).
This is as far as keyboard positioning goes.
Cool code bro. Hope something bad happens to you (in the game, ofc).

Look, it's not the code, it's all the attention you're drawing to yourself.
Even if you're a townie, which I think you MIGHT be, you still should die for not letting the townies figure out clues/suspects/etc, by barging in with your wild claims. I sincerely think that you're doing more damage to the game than any of the reds lol.

If I had any power to, I would ban you from a few games until you adjust your attitude. But I don't. And you almost certainly won't die. You are way too disruptive of a player and mafia values that. The scum will likely just try to get you lynched instead of wasting a night kill on you.
I'm basically going to ignore your comings and goings and hopefully you spam the thread enough to get modkilled. this comment kinda hurt. In addition, I do care about my position. However, as JoL, I feel like I have the ability to say what I want without M/V targeting me.

Yeah, and ever since I posted it seems that aztro went back into the lab to cook up some other way of screwing with the townies, because he went from spam to absolute silence.
|
Fair enough. Player above me: thegilaboy Voted twice against: Veldril Got voted against by: quickstriker (day 1) Profile: nothing incriminating as far as I can tell. Some protoss photos, and other sc related lines. Posts: roughly 40, most are answers to questions about the game itself, and tips. Here are some of interest:
Yeah I know what MH and D1 are lol, I've played some games of mafia before. I agree though, the clues on the first day especially can be misleading or simply too obvious. It's the posting actions of individuals that we should be most concerned about, coupled with voting tendencies and wild changes in who an individual votes for in a given day.
- he seems to deflect from masq, but i had the same opinion as well (clues too obvious), so i'll let this slide
I'm trying to give the basics since he seems to be so unaware of how this game is played that I thought I'd lay down the foundation for him. I'm aware of how mafia games are played, I've played in plenty of them on and off this forum
- plenty of posts in, he is only giving advice, but hasn't helped the town by contributing with analysis. He added one before game was restarted, but it was just a sum-up of the clues. Seems strange that someone with this much experience is so quiet
Orglove is either a very enthusiastic townie, or he is a red trying to hold the reigns over a lot of newbies who will come to rely on his spreadsheet and and what I'll call "assessments." Spreadsheets are very useful, but you posting yours in every post is actually revealing information you should keep to yourself at times. But hey, you could be a very active townie and I might be off on my suspicions, I just think you might want to tone down on the spreadsheet since it has been found to be incorrect three times now I believe.
I know we really want to get our first day's lynch in order since the hours are winding down, but that also means the hours are winding down on any coordination of our blue roles. I believe Pandain is attempting to coordinate MH placements, which can be a good thing for town even if he is red I suppose since he will be gunning for the other red team. Aztorisk may have jumped the gun on his role claim so early on, but that was partially due to the fact that the rules/descriptions weren't as clear as there are now. I know BM has been throwing around some ideas for Ghost placement in terms of the Masq/Veldril thing, anyone else have a thought on that?
- again, suspicious that he's not saying anything outright, just generalizing, asking for opinions. seems to support Pandain, so they might be in the same team
Holy fuck what an awesome night! Vamps are really hurting now, and we took care of the threat of the brute in the late game! So there were 4 actual hits and youngminii died by pumpkin bomb?
- HOLY FUCK is this incriminating. WE? WE TOOK CARE of the brute? The town lynched a spawn, the Brute was killed my Mafia. WTF? How did people miss this?
Other posts are not really useful. So bottom line: I thought he could be a red or just someone who didn't have too much time to spend on the game, and that's why he was short on analysis. Until I found this post, now I'm 60% sure convinced he's mafia (which would explain support of Pandain, if he is indeed, Mafia.
|
ROFL Glasse
Just as clarification: not saying that thegilaboy is mafia, it's just ONE post that seems to be rather incriminating. That's why I'm only 60% sure he's red (mafia).
I'd still rather see Aztrorisk go.

I'm not sure if Artanis is the right person to go after, simply because he was not in the game when Day1 clues popped up.
The silver hammer was a Day1 clue, and now it shows up again. Most likely, it's the same person, which kinda rules Artanis out (somewhat).
So I'm not sure what to say. I agree that the clue is pretty damning, but you guys are missing the previous people. I was gonna vote for Aztrorisk but he went to complete silence, so he's not annoying anymore. So I would go for either HeavOnEarth or Kenpachi. Simply because they're being awfully quiet.
So, in memory of Pandain, here's my vote for HoE.

Then again, he still only has two posts in this thread and voted Veldril twice.
Still, between inactives and suspicious people such as Yogy, kenpachi, and YummyBlaBla (I seriously wouldn't be surprised if these guys turned up 3/3 red) voting for this guy and the fact that Pandain was dead wrong about jodoghoo, I'm seriously reconsidering my vote.
Just so you know, I've been reading, but I haven't been convinced by anything yet, not enough to change my vote.
If you guys are right, then Artanis is going down anyway, you don't need my vote to help. But to me, people who lurk and vote are more dangerous than those who make a case for themselves, even if it's a bad one. That held true with Masq, and even if it does not with HeavOnEarth, then we'll have gotten rid of a useless townie (yes, i consider someone who just votes without giving reasons/explanations useless).
Think about it, even if we DON'T get rid of him now, and he'll keep lurking, he will come up on our radars again and again. I agree that the replacements are equally good choices, but Panadin died , so he must've did SOMETHING to piss off the M/V.
That's why I'm keeping my vote for HeavOnEarth. (I always giggle when I try to short it by typing HoE)
MAY GOD HAVE MERCY ON THEIR SOULS! ^_________^
|
And just to add:
I don't trust: kenpachi, jcarlsoniv (kenpachi because he's also lurking, even tho he has a badass bleach name, and jcarlsoniv because he's had SOME suspicious votes and he seems to end up on the wrong side of the voting 'mainstream' - as am I right now)
And I'm suspicious of: Glasse (Big Silvery-tipped Hammery Wielder), thegilaboy and glurio both voting for Artanis (SAME TEAM MUCH?) and HeavOnEarth, Artanis, aztrorix for voting against glurio (Again, same team?)
Which means that if during the night any of the 'two sides' (thegilaboy/glurio/glasse) or (HoE/Artanis/aztro) gets whacked and turns up to be red, the other two will grow in my eyes as primary suspects.
That will be all. Thank you.
|
Not that I like saying "i told you so", but I did.
We should start with clues/lurkers, not "the way they act". Obviously, we're either not good enough to figure out who is M/V by the way they post, OR, we've been listening to the wrong people.
Either way, maybe next time try to judge by yourself and not go with the flock. I'm gonna keep my vote on HeavOnEarth until something more solid comes along.
This was a freaking epic-loss night for the town. We're fucked.
|
I know but it's frustrating as hell to start off with a good lynch and then lose half of the townies from there (i know i'm exaggerating).
I mean, couldn't the modkills be mafia? Why does the town have to suffer from inactivity. In a game with 2x the number of reds, we can't lose these many people with just making ONE correct guess.
So far, my "gut feeling" told me to vote for Masq (which I did, and got some ppl to come along as well), NOT vote for Veldril (but I did it anyway, since if I hadn't, it would look like I would've gone back on my "word" - that if Masq is red then most likely so is veld, even though I stated that Veld may just be a newbie who overreacted), and now, that BM's replacement would sink us all, and it kinda did.
How we have to start from scratch, but we have a lot of suspects. The only thing we NEED to do is weed out some that are most likely mafia, maybe based on fking decent clues now, not like the silver hammer that was a clue in Night 0 when Player X wasn't even here. (NOT saying artanis or whoever is NOT red, but reasoning like that is what gets us in the middle of an empty field).
So how about focusing more on clues, and weeding out people who are not helping (lurkers, spammers, etc). I hope the reds go after Aztrorisk now, since 2 JoLs are already down. I'm really curious if he's a bad townie player or a really bad red player.

That being said, things are starting to look up.
Looks like the clues for Artanis were spot-on (Big Hammer - Mjollnir), but that still leaves the person with the hammer -> silvery-instrument that was here on day 1 when Artanis was not. So either that person is still in the game, or got modkilled/died already.
DrH: when the replacements came in, did they have to copy the profile of the person who left? I'm guessing no, but just making sure.
I'm going to look at some clues, but the most obvious right now is the red eyes/claws one. Than there would be the baseball bat + maniac laughter. I'll try and focus on these two the most.
|
Relevant clues on quick examination: Baseball Bat 1. Hitthegods: He's the only one who has a freaking baseball bat in the profile photo. And not much else. He also has a song lyric "This neo violence, pure self defiance", that comes from the song below. However, the lyrics don't seem too relevant. But the fact that he's got that photo, clearly is. Right now, he seems most suspicious to me. Kinda like Masq was in day 1. Clue too obvious? maybe, but what else would one use when looking at his profile?
+ Show Spoiler [lyrics] + no no need for a baseball bat don't need no knife for a sharp attack no excuses no looking back we think too much about the things we lack this neo violence pure self-defiance this neo violence the tough alliance

Red eyes: 1. QuickStriker - the character in his profile photo has red-ish eyes. Also his name can be a clue, since there were two hits already who were too "Fast" for the victim to acknowledge. Also, since his profile has limited to no information, it makes much sense that his name could be used as a clue.
He comes as a very close second on my list.
2. Nemesis - red eyes on his character, and also this interesting line in his status: "Do you stain your hands with evil to destroy evil?" which could be a remark towards claws, especially since he killed another red. (presumably)
So I'm really torn. I'd like to vote for QuickStriker to see if his name was actually a clue, but Hitthegods seems more incriminated at the moment. Also, Nemesis would be cool because it has some subtlety to it.
I'll ponder on which of the two (QS/Hit) to vote for after checking out some posts.

I wouldn't vote for Hit just yet, because the clue is way too fking obvious. Even more so than Masq's. And he did point fingers at people who turned up red in both teams.

Unless someone comes up with an awesome clue-resolve, that is.

Why go for Dracula at this relatively early stage? Best to try and stay on track and take down vamps. I agree that the bbat clue is obvious but it may NOT be a clue. Can we get mad scientist to confirm if baseball bat is a clue?
Can we look into other clues as well?
Can I go ahead and vote for kenpachi?

If you'll bother to look back through the posts, you'll notice that after the clues came out, I was the first one to go through profiles and point out that he had the baseball bat. I pointed the finger first.
However, as I said before, I don't want to vote based on clues alone, since this one is TOO obvious. The pear was kinda obvious as well but it was a pear, carved faces/bite marks, etc. This is too blunt (see what i did there - lolol). I'm not saying he's not red, he might be, but find me another reason other than the bat. I hate this band-waggoning that's been going on, because it only lead to poor decisions.
That's why I think I'm voting for kenpachi. I had my doubts regarding him since day one, and he's NOT posting to help us. If we're about to screw a townie, might as well do someone who isn't actually participating in the game. I still have plenty of time to change my mind, but I don't think I will.
|
Oh wow. Wow.
Most important question: is kenpachi going to be modkilled? If so, we still have 7h to change votes.
The "hanging from the ceiling" clue can also relate to kenpachi (see his profile pic). Not saying it does, but funny how he lacked in posts so far, and seeing as shit is about to hit the fan, he decides to play the game.
Well, I say nay, mister kenpachi. Nay.

The figure simply picked thegilaboy off the ground and snapped his neck with one hand. He was found sitting upright in a chair with both of his eyes missing. Seems like a strong clue, and additionally he's quietly slipped a vote on Kenpachi without making a single post in this thread since the Day 4 post (idk when he last posted, I didn't search before then, but he only has 14 total posts total). This seems substantially stronger than what's on Kenpachi.
You're right it does. But it's kinda late to change everyone's mind.
I would vote for him, especially now that we scared kenpachi into posting more. He's still not helpful, but you're right, the clues are pretty clear towards metalface.

I have changed my vote towards metalface. If we do end up lynching him, and kenpachi goes back to being silent, we can kill him as well.
|
Yeah I thought about that as well, but the thing is, my whole "hatred" stands towards the silent people. The ones who don't post but vote. This is not a silent game, or at least it shouldn't be.
I voted for kenpachi, a little current started towards him and all of a sudden he wakes up from a 1-week slumber. There we go. There are still a lot more who deserve to die but unfortunately we can't double lynch. If we could, I'd go for clues+lurker, but since we can't, I'd rather go for clues, and MetalFace has a lot pointing at him.

Haha, lucky Kenpachi.
On the other hand, I'm glad that I changed my vote in the end. Let's see how the night goes, new clues, and we can go from there, what's done is done.

Excuse me, but watch your tone young man!
I'm joking, but we didn't bandwagon against you for no reason. We choo-chooed your way because you kept voting without posting. That's a dangerous thing to do as Masq and MetalFace pointed out (after their deaths).
I was the one who started the rage train against you by posting repeatedly that you should be threatened. Old clues helped (especially the "hanging from the ceiling" vs your up-side-down pic, how do you not see that?). And the moment you got into the line of fire, you started playing! You started posting and trying to get the target off you. I changed my vote. Not soon enough, but you got lucky anyway.
But don't start and saying "no reason at all". The fact that you've been quiet as a mouse so far and now got agitated says a lot about you. If you didn't care for the game, you probably wouldn't have posted this much as of when you got targeted.
As for me, I'm still leaning towards you being a red. About 60% sure. Which is not a lot. I was about 90% sure of metalface due to the clue, that's why I changed my vote towards him. I still got a few people in mind who are more of a suspect than you are, but let's see how the night goes first.
If I were you, I'd just roll over and take it. If you start contributing, you may not be a target in the next day. Try to analyze clues/posts and see if you can find a better target. Just saying that people shouldn't vote you is not enough. That's what I would do if I were targeted. Defending yourself is fine but whining isn't, if you ask me. Just take it like a man and shake it off.

Dog-gone it! Guess I must've stepped on some toes.
Well anyway it's been fun.
At least I died like a warrior! ...alone, in the kitchen, at night.

I suspected annul the entire game, but people said they've investigated him, so I thought it was ok. I forgot that if he had been the count, he could fake the role. I insisted on this heavily in the first 2 days but then just let it slide.
Also: "Zeraghul kills CubedIn This was dumb. He's not even in the game anymore. Zeraghul sounds like Zeratul who is a dark templar. Whatever. I'm kicking myself for this one."
Really? -_-

Also thanks to the people haunting me.
Can Dr.H clarify one thing: I was poisoned in Night 3, died in Night 4. I was haunted in night 3. Does that mean that I was not poisoned to begin with? Or did I die because of posion? Or was it posion+hit? I'm confused.
