Favourite few lines from overused but good poem
A Priest an Irishman and a Bishop walk into a bar. The barman says "What is this, some kind of joke?"
Don't really see any connection to clues just yet.
Posting History: Was subbed in Day 2. Has two posts in this thread, and one vote. First Post: + Show Spoiler +I'm going to start reading over this thread from page 1, currently only browsed about 5 pages related to the *He who shall not be named* funnies and eventual modkill, but nothing else.
From the looks of things there is already a strong consensus on who is being lynched today, if anyone wouldn't mind briefly summarising the reasoning behind Veldril's lynch it would help me out, although I'm going to be going over the thread so will come to it eventually, given the huge number of people voting for him I'd imagine a very strong clue tie or DT check?
Questions the largely unanimous cry for Veldril's lynch. Wants to find out what prompted it because he had yet to read through the thread.
Second Post: + Show Spoiler +I'm going to vote Veldril, gotten someway through the thread so far, but about to go to sleep and don't want to miss voting (getting modkilled just as I sub in would be an unwelcome irony )
I have to say though, and this is entirely an "on the surface" evaluation, I'm quite surprised thatthe Veldril lynch is being supported so unanimously, the evidence against him doesn't to me seem warranting of such a strong response, but hey as I say that's mostly just my reaction to reading Pandain's post which has been linked as surmising the arguments against Veldy well.
I'll delve further into reading through the thread when I wake up tomorrow, and expect to have at least skim read it fully by then.
Jumping onto the Veldril bandwagon to avoid an inactive modkilling since he hasn't gotten to read the whole thread. Understandable. Is very surprised by how strong the town was against Veldril with the amount of evidence we had.
All in all, his posts don't seem too scummy, but off of only two posts, it is very difficult to tell.

Real quick, when i watched pandain last night it said that he left and never came back. Now from what i understand when someone gets killed they get visited. Him leaving and not coming back would mean he was poisoned. (Cant have been killed during night action, he was green)
If we analyse the clues to his killer we can find the poison dude
Somewhere across the way, Pandain was running for his life. He was being chased by two men through the Liquidvanian Central Park, trying desperately to weave through the trees. The smaller of the two men was craft, he predicted every move Pandain would make before he made it. His larger companion bumbled through the forest, running into trees and stumbling on wet mud.
Pandain finally ducked under a brush, feeling safe. He said a prayer to himself and tried his best to be quiet. Quiet wasn't enough. There was a blindingly quick kick to his head, knocking him on his back and knocking him out cold. The small man sat on Pandain's back, driving his face deep into the mud. Pandain was brutally slain by the two, torn limb from limb. The town would find his body parts separated and left in neat rows of eight, covered in blood and mud.

Even with Artanis being recently let into the game, I feel that his hammer picture is too strong of a clue to let pass. If we follow the link to the wiki page, aside from what previously has been mentioned, it says that:
Mjöllnir simply means "crusher", referring to its pupulverizing effect.
Coagulation's eyes widened in fear but he couldn't run before the huge hammer struck the side of his skull, crushing his head into a fine powder
Tie this with the mention of lightning, and I think we have too strong of a connection to overlook, regardless of when he entered the game.

Are we seriously not questioning Bill Murray? 0.0 I think it's extremely clear that he's a vamp...

I believe this is the bet we have right now. I also believe Bill Murray's actions point to the fact that he was a vampire and therefore his replacement Glurio is one now.
Although there are a a few other people who raise suspicion of carious degrees, are there any better two people to take out or at least analyze further than Artanis and Glurio?

thats a great connection of Glurio. Analyzing both Glurio and bm may show up some similarities since they now have the same roles

Maybe grasping at straws a bit here, but the user kingjames01 could be the scholar mentioned in day 2.
He was thin and gaunt, he appeared to be a scholar of some sort.
King James is described as ""[j]ames himself was a talented scholar, the author of works such as Daemonologie (1597), True Law of Free Monarchies (1598), and Basilikon Doron (1599)." on his wiki page.

PS, in defense of ghrur's analysis of me:
"God damnit, this is wtf. he NEVER posted a code with this, and seems to just be bullshitting."
yes he did - he posted a cryptogram and when solved, it came out to "conformed killers are: pandain"
check the thread again, it is there
and
"Wtf? This goes against what he said earlier about analyzing posts! This also goes against his vote as he NEVER voted for Masq, despite him saying that it's very obvious now. Why? Also, why would he vote for someone of Masq's clue-like-similarity when he never voted for Masq in the first place? I don't get it."
i voted for veldril for reasons i explained above, which you quoted. i was wrong =\ but the reasons were there. his profile also had a quote from fate stay night, the "unlimited blade works" invocation -- which fit a clue pretty well too. or so i thought. so while masq's clue was the most obvious, i thought veldril had a nice one too, _and_ i thought getting him out early was better.
lastly, i defend myself if people make claims that i disagree with. especially if people make claims that i believe to be lies. this isnt a red thing, this is an annul thing. green blue black or red, i defend myself against things like that.

why would he leave if he was a straight up green? he has no night power to leave with and he is not mafia/vampire to go out and kill someone with?

i am not defending jodo, mind you, just that i think that obvious clues > suspicion at this point. Sorry for being out of the thread for a while, but... what? I'm not even sure what clues you're referring to. Are you talking about Hyperbola's stuff? I'm confus.

No, in fact, he questioned you on your decryption.
+ Show Spoiler [aztrorisk's quote] +Lol, i would like to see your reasoning.
I applied the code CubEdIn found later with spydr, and it doesn't work with the notes aztrorisk originally posted. It came out as giberish. =/ Furthermore, you never posted anything on how to decrypt it. I'd love to know how you got "confirmed killers are: Pandain"
from
e6oa6yh91 3ivv9yg 4y9:
74ol4io
because if we apply the decoder used later (move 1 letter down on the keyboard) we get: dylzyhnoq ekvvohb rho: urllrkl
Furthermore, I ask town to draw attention to the selective quoting. I, in fact, did include the decoder people found later, but I said it did not fit. + Show Spoiler [my whole quote] +God damnit, this is wtf. he NEVER posted a code with this, and seems to just be bullshitting. It also doesn't seem to fit with the "decoder" people found later. Trying to confuse town? Trying to kill a harmless green? (pandain)
and Show nested quote +"Wtf? This goes against what he said earlier about analyzing posts! This also goes against his vote as he NEVER voted for Masq, despite him saying that it's very obvious now. That explains your *erroneous* vote for veldril, but what I was aiming at here was why did you choose to vote for lucktar? You didn't vote for Masq despite his clue, so why should lucktar's clue persuade you enough to vote for him? And now, I see that you have changed your vote to Artanis[xp]. Why?
|
because nobody was voting for lucktar anyway? why should i make a lone vote that got no traction?
i weighed my options between artanis and heavonearth and i chose artanis. otherwise my vote is irrelevant
also, my code was correct. in cryptograms it is self-explanatory which letters decode to what, because you can just reverse solve it and see. so, every "o" in "conformed killers are: pandain" is the same symbol in aztro's original encrypted code, every "a" is the same symbol, every "i" is the same symbol, etc. if you bother to take the time out to do this, you will see my solution is not wrong.
i would love to see an alternate solution for aztro's original code that fits as well as mine did. i do not need to post my own decoding key because it is self-evident from my solution itself.
whether aztro questions my reasoning or not, this does not change the fact my solution was correct.

I thought the same thing. I checked with DrH though and it's legit.
There's also no role that can slip by a boogeyman.
So either Pandain was poisoned on night 1 or glasse is lying. It's the only explanations as to how pandain could have died.

Can we please top talking about codes and shit? I would really like it if the town was focused on analyzing suspicious players and clues rather than not focusing on suspicious players and clues.

doesnt that mean that he left and died? Because he left at night and died at night to make the story make sense. If he didn't leave at night, he would have then supposed to die in his bed.

Come on. Bill Murray, before being modkilled, did shit that was directly aligned with every revealed vampire. What more proof do you need?
Glurio. He's 100% vampire.
