I do have a question, though. What will the ban remove? Will I be allowed to host as well as play, given I can be put into a queue? If so, may I be able to be placed into said and aforementioned queue previously to the removal of my ban so that I may begin hosting immediately? | ||

The reason I asked for a ban for DoctorH is because the past 3 games in a row the same thing had happened. In Kurumi's XLIV he abruptly stopped playing the game halfway through, in Personality he asked to be replaced out of the blue and then in LOTR he asked again to be replaced out of the blue. Same deal with chaos13 who had been replaced out of something like 3 of the past 4 games he was signed up for. I didn't request a ban for anyone that asked to be replaced and didn't have a history of constantly doing it. Actually I just noticed JeeJee got a ban for my game, I didn't request one and actually I would be completely fine if that decision was rescinded because I haven't noticed a propensity for him not finishing his games. | ||

I have no problem with you hosting but only after you've proven that you can play in a game without any issues. | ||

ITS A GAME AND REAL LIFE IS MORE IMPORTANT SOMETIMES. MAKE YOUR FUCKING RULES REFLECT ACCORDINGLY. You guys piss and moan because activity levels here are shit and wonder why? Maybe its because you fucking ban everyone for the stupidest shit. TLMafia will never grow as long as this shit system is in place and thats unfortunate because there are alot of good people here and its fun to play with them. Edit* sorry im pissed and being blunt. I was looking forward to playing with doch in my first game back here in about half a year but * suprise suprise* it looks like that wont happen because of this stupid banlist shit. | ||

Special Ban List Initiative The forum has been slowing down and as multiple long time players are and have been on the ban list for quite a long time, we have decided that this would be a good time to offer a one time deal to clear some bad records and reduce the size of the ban list while getting the TL Mafia Library up to speed. How does it work? In exchange for decreasing your ban count by one, you can contribute to the TL Mafia Library. First, post in here saying you are doing your service for your ban. Next, head over to the TL Mafia Library thread. For one ban, you will need to gather all the data for Three TL Mafia games which aren't currently in the library. This includes writing a summary of the game, which may require you to read the game. The Mafia XV summary is the guideline for what we expect when you write a summary. Before you get started, make sure you post in the Library thread which games you are gathering data for, so that multiple people don't go after the same game. Also, collecting various statistics can replace gathering data for a game. For example, helping Meapak_Ziphh count the number of games per players would qualify as a substitute. Collecting other statistics that may be useful will also serve as a substitute, as long as someone (dreamflower, flamewheel, etc) approves beforehand. All submissions must be approved by flamewheel/dreamflower/GMarshal/Foolishness. Unapproved submissions will not count towards your 3 contributions. As we don't want this to be a perpetual alternative to sitting out bans, this is a limited time offer only. You have infinity weeks to declare your intention to participate in this programme, but there is no immediate deadline for you to submit your contributions. | ||

If you were behavior modkilled then I'm not even listening to you. You literally have NO EXCUSE for your situation. YOU brought your ban upon yourself. Not because one person hated you a tried to force you out, because the COMMUNITY made a decision to ban you for your behavior. Sucks living in a democracy sometimes but ultimately this system is waaay better than any of the alternatives I've seen posted here and there. This whole TL Mafia library thing seems fine for modkills, it will show that people want to be a part of the community and are willing to put time into it which is what the concept of sitting out games does. Finally, @BM PLEASE stop posting in this thread until January 1st 2012. You were banned. Twice. You're EXTREMELY lucky to be getting a THIRD chance. You posting doesn't speed up time but instead shows that you really haven't learned anything at all over the course of your bans. This discussion needs to end. The ban list is fine. Don't get banned and you never have to deal with it. | ||
