China had to count on major fails by the US in athletics / swimming to take it and so far that hasn't happened. China fail to sweep weight lifting, shooting, and gym. China also come got a lot of silver and 4th place finish in some individual event such as boxing and TWD. When China fail those event, the race was over. In fact, the race was pretty much over 1 week ago when China fail to sweep weight lifting and shooting. Here in the UK, the beting wont accept US victory anymore. Thats how 1sided the race has become. I expect the US to finish with 43-48 gold. China at 38- 39. Would have been interesting if China didnt fail those 2 events. was china ever expected to sweep shooting? The US has always done well in shooting.
According to the shooting world ranking, yes. China has several top 5 ranking shooter heading in, But many of them didnt qualified to the final. Only 2 woman win gold when they had like 10 guys who were contender. In 2008, China won 5 golds in shooting.

If you got any proxy servers i could link you the BBC player showing it speake, but you will need to proxy into it with an UK IP
Same goes to the other American =P

Coverage in the UK is amazing; we can watch any of about 8 simultaneous events live online or on TV. If you miss anything you can go back in time (MLG Style) on the online BBC streams and then all the highlights are quickly made into VODs too.

^^ Yeah youtube has been awesome, and plus with 5 other channels on tv here, it's hard to miss anything.
They are actually really good at live events, dont know why it took them so long to start up on streaming (I think the first event was the ipl 2010, but it was just that one event and nothing else after), when compared to others like twitch etc, feels like they lost a chunk of the market to those guys.

8th place in all-time medal count, not just this one Olympics

Not sure what to think of Lutalo Muhammed. The guy shouldnt be competing here after being selected in front of world #1 Aaron Cook, because Cook created his own preparation regime and rejected the BOA official route.

Sad to see Bulgaria fall apart @Men's Volleyball semis against Russia. They led comfortably in the first set looking to carry it to the set win, when the referee donated two points to Russia, allowing them to get ahead and breaking Bulgaria's momentum completely. Match looks decided right now...
Edit: Karma strikes back, Bulgaria takes set three after several controversial (and at least one flat-out wrong) decisions. Head referee doesn't seem to like his linesmen.

I used to not like it because I thought it didn't compare to real gymnastics but I guess my hormones have officially taken over.
I am addicted to the screen.

It does get a bit messy xD
Pajon dominated though.
Won all 3 of her semi heats and crushed the finals.

I don't get BMX they do rounds in everything but the finals. And it seems so inconsistent.
