That fits the profile of the people who dominate those types of sports in the US, too. Yep this is what kinda makes the GB medal tally in the olympics a bit less inspiring. Although we have had some boxing and athletics medals and a few others here and there (triathlon) which are pretty cool. So many however are linked to privileged backgrounds and money and having more technology than the entirety of Africa put together.

Germans are guests at almost all beaches in the world ^_^ Take a look around, beach volleyball fields popping up everywhere! My favourite sport in summer. Reckermann/Brink are deserving it, too :D Their play is so intelligent and they work together so well, it's unbelievable.

As someone who is not from the UK I find the latter significantly more interesting keke ![]() Yea I feel like I'm kind of surprised by it in a way but at the same time not really. Do the people from Spain differentiate between Catalonian winners and Spain winners for instance or is it just the British who do this?

Yeah but Spain don't enter the World Cup as Catalans and Madrid. We're separate nations for a lot of Sports and this is adds to the rivalry among other cultural differences.

Lol, apparently there was a pretty damned good reason for that. His leg broke half way through the run. http://espn.go.com/olympics/summer/2012/trackandfield/story/_/id/8251820/2012-london-olympics-us-runner-manteo-mitchell-finishes-4x400-meter-relay-broken-leg Bad ass.
