I don't get why team don't use taller/longer armed fencers. Just stand back, use length as defense, and rely on countering. Anyone that is short or has short arms is going to have a hard time dealing with that length.

Also the judges tend not to like Chinese divers sometimes, happens to a lot of nations (though it could just be my bias) :x China has got 4 golds out of 4 so far. I can't imagine what would happen if they actually liked Chinese divers. ![]()

And anyway it's just a mild distrust and whatnot, not super bitter about it or anything (though I heard gold is a good cure for bitterness lol). I didn't notice it for any of the events except the men's synchronized platform 10m diving, I think it was. It seemed like they started out with some weirdly low score but in the end were just too good so they had to give the win to them, sort of. The race to most golds is heating up now ![]() No idea, but it certainly is!! US ranks by total medal count though, implying the US might care more about total count? Some people say that they do it to boost their ranking, but I dunno.

I am thinking they could actually get top with most golds this year depending on their performance in athletics. I dont see China getting near the 50 medals they got in Beijing this time, so it should be very close. China has some diving and table tennis left right? Question is what do they have after that?

Yeah indeed, I don't think they really have much after that and the US might be able to nab a lot of golds by the end, especially with all the track events and whatnot. Personally I was pretty sure from the beginning that USA would end up on top, but I hope somehow China is able to come away with more in the end haha. And whoa yeah, I could definitely see the world record being broken too wow.

Going to be fireworks later, the WR probably won't go but the race as a whole is going to be one of the quickest ever.
