I have a feeling we're going to see a lot of TSM games this year where they'll be trying to come back from a massive deficit caused by a frequently overextending top laner.

I'm just hoping they aren't shy of benching Huni for Hauntzer once they see it isn't working.
Also who is Primal? Is he an amateur scene caster that got the nod up? Is he totally new talent from Riot? I'm well versed in all of the other additions LCS added but I've never seen him before the Lock In started

Not sure if he did amateur casting but he used to work for Riot for a long time. Not sure if he still works for them now.
IMO 3 of the 4 matches are pretty set in stone. I can't imagine TSM/IMT/FQ winning against their opponents. The only one I'm weary on is the EG/GGS match because I don't trust either in a best of 5, but Impact should be good enough on his own to carry it home
Is there any region in the world that blinds Gnar? Why would you ever blind Gnar period? Why would you use draft resources to pick up a blind a non OP champion for fucking Impact
But that's only an advantage if the champion you're picking is a good champion. Also I disagree with that notion. Its equally important to take an OP champion for a player who would need it then blind a safe champ for a different laner. Its still a resource
TF, Galio, any moonstone abuser, Lucian, Syndra, Olaf (which they took), Graves (see Olaf), Rell? Either way that isn't the point, blind picks are an allocation of resources. They aren't "the opposite" of resources. They wasted Blue 2 getting Impact, the best player on their team by a fucking mile, a champion that no other region in the world is blind picking to my knowledge. All of that still ignores, why on earth you would blind Gnar ever.
Blind picking a champion is only an advantage when that champion is actually worth blind picking.
When Gnar is blinded in other regions its R4 or B4/B5 as well from what little I saw yesterday when I looked into it. Honestly Alphari is just so much better. I agree with everyone else here whos mentioned it, Fudge just doesn't look like the upgrade C9 made him out to be. Although Licorice hasn't looked great himself.
Alphari's entrance to NA feels like what Ssumday's entrance was supposed to be. I guess it's not a good comparison because Alphari's teammates are sliiightly better than that 2017 DIG roster. I just want to say he looked great in most of his games.
After fast forwarding through this weekends games, yeah LCS looks pretty terrible apart from the very top.
I mean I respect that some orgs are trying to save money, LCS wages are surely inflated. But not a single player from a EU regional league was picked up, that can not have been a matter of money. Instead only pre retirement Europeans, NA academy and Oce players.. And then you have a team like TSM that are apparently trying since they invested a ton but do it in such a weird way.

Feels like this is an import slot thing more than a money thing. You only go for the big foreign names, meanwhile teams are twisting themselves just to free them up (Fudge?!).

Well FQ, GG, Dig all have 0 imports, and together 1 in challenger. I am not saying that I exactly know which players are better, it just seems very surprising that not a single lesser known (and cheap) import was picked up, especially by the bottom teams. Then one can also wonder about a known player like MagiFelix. Maybe he did not want to go to NA, but it is just that you would expect someone would want him over the likes of Destiny, Ablazeolive etc.
CoreJJ is playing awfully lately. In this game in particular, that flash over the wall @ their mid tier 1 right before the teamfight that lost them the game, what the fuck? He should've stopped the engage immediately after that, instead he lets Olaf/Renekton funnel in first, then engages, which was way too late. Also, him dying lvl 2 or whatever level that was, was just absolutely mind boggling.
And in the end they had no one to soak up damage to defend against baron minions killing nexus turrets.. imagine just losing the game because 2 baron cannons put so much pressure on your team that you force a completely bogus teamfight, full yikes.
CoreJJ needs to step up. I feel like Santorin does as well, but I can't formulate as to why exactly, so I'll lay off criticism for now.
This region is so bad at drafting its insane. We have GGS vs EG where GGS leaves Rell up, first picks Olaf, then EG ALSO leaves Rell up and lets GGS B3 pick her. Then Dig leaves it up and doesn't first pick her, just to give her to CLG.
Its even more fucking criminal in Dig vs CLG because they first picked fucking Azir. We can't be this doomed
Overall both teams did not look very strong to me. TSM's teamplay just consisted of grouping as 5 and TL's of hoping that solo laners will do their thing. Both ADCs rather shaky, as already before.
I do feel bad for TL and Santorin that he can't play in finals. I don't think it really matters toward the outcome but Santorin gave them a fighting chance
These flash bear stance Udyr teamfight initations are so awkward. I think their success rate is far below 50%. Like what are these Udyr players thinking? Hey, I've got 2k hp, a bit of tankstats AND I'm more than half a screen away from my team, let's apply a 1s stun on a random person that's closest to me!
That's like a move no pro team has ever done in the past. That's a move on a champion that would be classified as 'no engage potential' and yet pro players keep doing it and keep being blown up after it. They are severely underestimating how tanky they are over and over.
@chipmonk I think it can still be a close series. Don't forget, even though Spica is a smitestealmaster, Grig used to be the saving grace for TSM in the past with steals as well (the only thing their junglers outshone other junglers in imo). He's shown good steals in the bo5 yesterday (vs the current smitestealmaster Spica) and seems to outsmite Blaber, which isn't known to be good at smite securing objectives.
As somebody who has gone through bouts of insomnia and migraines (once I didn't sleep for ~70 hours lol) I can tell you it's completely debilitating. My migraines are less frequent now but even then on a bad day, I can't look at a computer screen even at the lowest brightness.
I'm more confused by what happened to Zikz than anything else. He's still the guy that was regarded as one of the best coaches in the west for years. Was that just an outside appearance? Did players stop listening to him? Like I give his time at TSM a pass because he was trying to coach TSM, but he's had a year and a half with 100T and the team just looks weak and disjointed.
Even on TSM the team performed well underneath him. They went from struggling to do anything in playoffs to finals, only for Parth to fuck everything up by making Grig and Akaadian split time, ruining Akaadian's mental and Grig being Grig.
As the coach surely he a say in which jungler they were using no? Seems insane to force the coach to play with a different set of players than he wanted, then fire him for doing a "bad" job in the situation his GM put him in. I'm curious with the Reapered change if Damonte comes back as well, aka it was a Zikz choice or not.
I should also mention there's that rumor going around that Nisqy is being traded to 100T and Ssumday won't be an import at some point in the split
Parth felt the team overperformed in Spring and that Grig should get a shot to get his spot back, since he lost it due to injury. The friction between Ziks and management over this is what led to him being effectively removed from his job before the split was over as Parth took the reigns again because he's a shit GM. Management in TSM has always been incredibly meddlesome with their coaches. Before this year, the only one I can remember that didn't get messed with was Weldon.
The only way Ssumday will have NA residency is if he gets a green card/citizenship. Huni was the last eligible player to get it via tenure.
Yeah, from what little I've read into it, a few months back Ssumday mentioned that his green card process was "close" to done. Some Turkish esports site claimed talks were occurring and Inven posted an article about it

Highly likely S04 sell the spot at the end of the year. The soccer team will be confirmed relegated by tonight.
