Faker is obviously the better player but Easyhoon had such a great performance just before. Sending Ezhoon basically forces SKT into a farming mid, but they might want to play aggressive mid this game

That is more than LCS regular season which is 90 games and even more than old LCS regular season which was 128 games. Might be a tad much. It better be more games. One of the reasons they moved to this format was because smaller teams and inexperienced pros didn't have a lot of time to test themselves at the highest level.

To be fair it is bo3 and one series per night, so you just watch teams you're interested in as opposed to LCS where you just watch it every night because every team plays every night. Also 56? Every team is playing each other twice? Not that I don't prefer the tournament format. I do, a lot.

Not to mention in the old format lots of lower tier teams -IM, Jin Air, rookie teams - were pretty much guaranteed to drop out before ro8, normally losing all their games or maybe picking up 1. With the new format, it allows for all eight teams to get a good amount of games under their belt, which leads to more experienced players in the scene.
