A pity that Fnatic isn't in the finals, but Royal does deserve it.

I have no idea what will happen, all I hope is for some crazy strats and comps to be pulled out of the hat. Not just standard samey champion pools as always (I'm betting on this mostly for Royal, SKT has no flexibility). Would be great if it's a 3-2, but my gut feeling says 3-0/3-1 for SKT.

I just saw Cyanide post on Facebook and wondered why does he repetitively say that they're better individually when every lane got stomped every game (except for top) ?
Maybe he and Soaz are better but the rest of Fnatic got outclassed, xPeke included (what a bad series for him I'm still sad)

That's really strange of him to say that, since I'd actually say it's the exact opposite. They played a lot better in teamfights and overall map movement and all that stuff, which showed by the way they were constantly picking up kills and winning fights, but got severely outclassed during the laning phase.

Haha new Cyanide post :
"Hm seems that a lot of people disagree with me when i said we were better individually, i didnt actually check the farm of the lanes too much however i felt like we had a strong early all games expect the first which normally means lanes are winning. Maybe it was just from my perspective as i was kinda fed most of the games so we had good control. I would have to watch the games (which i will) to know for sure."

Didn't check farm too much lol.

From what he saw in tf, whitezz performed terribly. Thats cos he doesn't know how to play those champs.

(DW he still dumpstered xPeke in lane)

pretty incredible of royal to consistently try to end while being even on gold, other regions dont really have the same mentality

Everyone on TL thinks Royal can't win unless they majorly steup up their game, and even Royal players think that.
Wouldn't matter who they were playing, people are thinking Royal won't win because of Royal, not because of their opponents.
HOLY CHECK!

this scrappy underrdog story is overplayed. looking for the superior talent on t1 to squash royal. underdogs must die

Royal club is definitely up there with SKT T1 in terms of skill
if you remember group stage OMG went 1:1 vs SKT and RC crushed OMG 2:0 in quarters

I'm big fun of korean LoL scene but will root for RC cause they play interesting and agressive not following standard meta

t1 definitely have the better players. but royal has this nothing to lose mentality and they've been on a hotstreak. not sure they have the meta advantage unless t1 just goes fp shen every game again.

the najin sword we saw against t1 would have crushed the semifinalists from the other bracket. but royal could very well raise their game again to put up a good fight.

Think it'll be SKT 3-2.

Both teams are great at closing out games with a lead, both teams have a good laning phase and their mechanics are solid. You won't see a massive kill lead with one team into loss like Fnatic. Expecting one sub-20 min inhibitor at least

To contrast with the SKT strengths, here's why I'm not going to count out Royal just yet.

-SKT got caught offguard by the anti-Ahri strats. Royal might gain a win or two by pulling something unfamiliar to SKT and of course taking advantage of SKT's weak game 1.
-Royal were (IMO) also disrespecting Fnatic; they will probably try and play tighter against SKT. I thought they looked stronger against OMG
-Bengi seems to slack off with jungler combat items (and this leads to a jungler that's weak in teamfights)
-I think Royal bot lane has a decent chance of winning against SKT bot lane
-Royal L1 strats are good...right?

I dont think so, based on their performance today, SKT can 3:0 Royal easily

Yes they 3-0 so easily vs sword right? Based on the gambit game they should 3-0 sword.

sword is a very fundamentally sound team with better vision control than royal. they were still crushed for 3 games. the 2 games they won were strategic level counters against t1's well known tendencies, faker centered aggression and shen splitpushing.

Royal each game aquires a gold lead in the first 10minutes and snowballs of that or dies trying. If they are behind in any game I don't see SKT losing to them.

Well my opinion is that is depends a lot on which Lucky shows up, he played horribly yesterday.

Piglet/Poohmandu + Faker won't lose lanes like Fnatic did yesterday so if Lucky is horrible in the finals like yesterday Bengi & Co will win the games pretty easily tbh

Imo fnatic proved itself to be a superior team fight oriented team, with weaker laning and weaker objective control than Royal.

That is the reason why Cyanide actually think fnatic is better individually, while they clearly are not : they were so dominant in team fight, just look at the score, that it blinded him from what permitted royal to win those games.

I'd actually be surprised if either team got stomped in the finals. I've watched all of their games and although the number of games is smaller for Royal, they look to have the same flashes of brilliance that SKT1 have.

Both teams push HARD on objectives when they have an advantage, and both teams have very tightly coordinated, well-executed team fights.

The series should be a blast.

I thought he would have reviewed the games before making such comments. Surely he knows that making conclusions based on high adrenaline moments is silly.

Interestingly enough Tabe stated that in the very few games they actually managed to take off SKT during their scrims they had to it to like 40-50 minutes games and work incredibly hard at even managing to close out the match, while in all their losses the game was basically over after 10 minutes.

I could understand how he maybe was very frustrated and heated in the moment which lead to that statement. Happens to everyone from time to time.

Well, Koreans are the best in general as far as eSports goes if they seriously care about a game, that's a widely accepted fact. Also Royal stated in every interview so far that SKT has completely been stomping them in the scrims they had for Ro8 and Ro4. There are many reasons why SKT are the favourites and it's definitely not only the old "SC hype" that carried over.

Royal has a fair shot of course, but you shouldn't be surprised that many people would put their money on SKT.

Koreans are not good teamplay, thats why they fail in dota and fps.
Why don't you play other Dota kind games? Because there is no Denies!!!!
