Two things as public notice: 1. + Show Spoiler [Quarterfinals 1 spoiler] +Congrats to Fnatic, they played superbly and glgl to them in the Semis! No one is saying that Fnatic only won because of the level 1 in Game 3. Please keep the nationalistic statements out of our subforum. 2. Riot's Worlds format is atrocious. Let's not beat a dead horse here. I will certainly be talking to Riot's eSports dept about it in the near future. I simply ask everyone to be civil. Humble in victory, graceful in defeat. Enjoy the games~ -Neo, Sept 23rd, 3:20 PM PDT, page 120 |

What hype is there for Faker vs Uzi? No one outside of China knows anything about Royal or any of their players besides the 2 games they saw them play last night (which no one in Europe will have watched). Pretty sure there'd be far more interest in an SKT vs Fnatic final then SKT vs Royal, certainly everywhere outside of Asia if not everywhere outside of China.
Faker vs Uzi would be ultimate battle of the gods
SKT vs Fnatic will be another "Will Naniwa make it past the Round of 8 in GSL"
I know I'm harsh on EU (Don't get me wrong, they're my second favorite region to watch after KR), but that's because I expect a lot from them.

So far finished game 1 of RYL vs OMG. Holy. Super exciting game, and that eventho I knew the result.
Uzi definitely build up some hype for himself in those games and it's not like he was completely unknown beforehand. Maybne not to the real casual viewer but I certainly have heard of him and how good he is without being into the chinese scene/watching the games (which I'll definitely start after seeing their play at worlds)

Fuck that shit. Royal vs OMG's first game makes me so mad, these damn suicides and wasted summoner spells. Top is opened as an escape route? Whitezz runs mid for no good reason into Corki and has to waste his Flash. J4 tries to retake their red buff, using his Q, so unsurprisingly Ahri comes from mid behind him and he wastes Flash trying to get away and dies anyway, giving OMG the inner bot turret. Then whitezz burns Ghost for a dead inner bot and almost suicides himself to hopefully finish off Jax. Costs them the drake.
I mean, sure, that's twice that whitezz barely doesn't kill somebody and there's certainly luck involved in this. But goddammit these dumb decisions are costing them so much. It makes me mad because it's not being outplayed it's being straight-up dumb. >_<
... 0K. They can be pretty clutch when they want, too. Uzi is a god. All hail. Wtf. :|

What an awesome guy. Please Tabe win the whole thing (I don't think they can win against SKT =( 3-1 SKT/Royal probably ...)

Pretty good games between OMG and Royal, really exciting with all those low HP escapes after teamfights etc. Uzi pretty good. San really dropped the ball though, especially in game 2 - overall plenty mistakes by both teams, with Royal managing to capitalize better. Remember, though, that these teams know each other inside out, which may or may not contribute to the quality of their game.
I think fnatic actually has a good shot at advancing if they bring their A-game, though Royal will probably try to ban out xPeke's roaming champions and try to crush fnatic's botlane to get Uzi fat. Some fnatic bush shenanigans could help. Overall probably 55-45 towards Royal. On the other hand, since Tabe mentioned fnatic "not trying hard" in scrims twice, this might mean Royal absolutely crushed them and Tabe is just too humble to say so - but then, other teams told similar tales, and now find themselves eliminated.

im really annoyed because teams like we and omg are probably stronger vs international teams, but they are weaker to intra-china competition from ppl like royal
its like back in bw when f91 could dumpster pretty much every foreigner but could never make it out of china qualifiers to prove it lol
still hoping royal can surprise me and show something @_@

Wow Royal looks really good, I wasn't really impressed by their toplane and jungle but holy shit Uzi is so good oO GL Fnatic, they have their chance imo

More seriously, I tend to react really strongly to dumb stuff like this (look, I'm the guy who comes from a Dignitas background back in their RS days, how high do you expect my tolerance to idiocy to be? ), and with this bad draw I was really upset that we may not see more than 2 games of Royal. But in the end they blew us away. o_o

I just want to point out that I just realized that game 2 of Royal vs OMG was only about 25 minutes long, which is unreal. It honestly felt like i was watching a 40 min action packed game. I've never seen that before, no real downtimes and so much action that it feels like the game lasted longer than it actually did
