Two things as public notice: 1. + Show Spoiler [Quarterfinals 1 spoiler] +Congrats to Fnatic, they played superbly and glgl to them in the Semis! No one is saying that Fnatic only won because of the level 1 in Game 3. Please keep the nationalistic statements out of our subforum. 2. Riot's Worlds format is atrocious. Let's not beat a dead horse here. I will certainly be talking to Riot's eSports dept about it in the near future. I simply ask everyone to be civil. Humble in victory, graceful in defeat. Enjoy the games~ -Neo, Sept 23rd, 3:20 PM PDT, page 120 |

How do you figure? The first game was quite close, the second game they won, and the third was lost to lvl 1 double kill. I guess I'll go sit in my delusional little corner you awesome european, you. lol lost to double kill lee that failed invade after, no wonder usa is so shit in lol if you actually think like that :O
You're funny, but I'm not quite sure that it is intentional.

As an unbiased observer, I just want to say fnatic was the better team. When they didn't do stupid shit like pick TF into a Fizz they just played better. Stronger lanes, and stronger map control with vision.
That third game though really didn't demonstrate much except that C9's level one plans are poor. Fnatic did a great job snowballing, but that's precisely what I'd expect of a strong team. Had C9 had that start they'd have won the game easily too - fnatic got stomped by Vulcun after a similar situation and Vulcun is 10x worse than C9.

proud day for NA LoL And for Riot's e-sports department. We could see not two, but THREE games of the team that crushed the NA LCS. Don't worry, on the other hand NA fans could see 2 TSM vs GGEU and 2 Vulcun vs Mineski games, so it's ok.
srsly, if i ate ABC soup i could crap out a better format than this. Even though im glad fnatic shat on C9 i would love to see c9 play alot more games, they are good.

Honestly I'm disappointed in the 1. Map control/vision/warding and 2. Mid lane/jungle players from NA. All worlds has taught me is that if I want to make a name for myself in NA I should be a crazy aggro jungler who ganks a lot and makes plays because literally every NA team needs that right now.

Letting kass and shen through twice is so rediculous. C9 is known for their well thought out pick/ban phases too, faillll.

Maybe, NA team should travel to korea and train? Seems like it helps with sc2 players like scarlett and naniwa.
Does not work

Level 1 doesn't somehow escape the scape of the game, it's not just luck and doesn't just "happen". Of course it counts fully.

can someone explain this format? why were some teams seeded into Ro8?

If only NA had better competition in their region. I was surprised by how fnatic was able to exploit lemon's obvious warding patterns and none of the NA teams could.

I sure enjoy the fact that C9 got to play a grand total of 3 games and we had to sit through 8 games of Mineski's atrocity. Woah now. Mineski's support varus comp was a stomp but Kobe and Joe casting made that a fantastic game.

Meteos was fine. He was honestly one of the few redeeming features of C9 in games 1 and 3.

Meteos played really well in all 3 games and did what he could. Game 3 there is absolutely nothing he can do given the lanes and what happened at level 1.

and as i've always said, it's really easy to look good when it's really just your opponents are really bad
c9 drafts is nothing speical, just like how sneaky isnt some "god tier ad" that can magically do more with less farm
they were just shitstomping bads. that's it. then their pubstomp style falls apart to real teams.

Isn't Lemon supposedly the one who plans their picks/bans and strategies? Even if you think he's lacking as a player (which I'm not sure is true, though he definitely needs to do better on vision control), it's hard to replace that sort of thing on your team.

Although Yellowstar always seems to have a pained look on his face, he did exceptional in this series, especially his Leona in game 3, his stuns and ults were on point.

Fanatic won but at what cost?

Really excited to see expession play, havent seen him play for months.

Sure, if C9 doesn't improve at all. No faith lol. Nah Volband's been hating on NA all tournament. Nothing new to see here folks, move along. In other news, I'm pissed my schedule only let me see this last game. How were games 1 and 2? He's been hating on NA all Summer Split imo. #1 NA hater. Game 1 was Kassadin/Lissandra combo wrecking an immobile C9 comp. Game 2 was Balls Rumble. Game 3 was just an example of why C9 needs to improve their Level 1. Silliness. game 3 was an example why you never buy mana manipulator as support Eh, Mana Manipulator wouldn't have saved him. Leona dominates the matchup if she gets ahead regardless, and both Corki and Zyra are fairly mana intensive.
It's a bad buy, but the loss was for other reasons.
