We dropped 1-2 into losers bracket vs Dig yesterday in a match that went on until like... 2 am? I was pretty tired yesterday to start with, but only getting like 6 and a half hours of sleep is definitely not gonna improve that ^^

Oh well nothing to do about it, our next match is supposed to be at 10 am local time (in about an hour) against CLG.na, TD or Curse – admittedly, I don't even know which one. I doubt it's gonna be streamed since it is loser bracket. Wish us luck anyways!

from his facebook, add the time it takes to get to the hotel and until you finally sleep.

proper ways to respond to the schedule are (1) that's the way it is, just be professional and do your best and (2) it shouldn't be that way, so when it's over, complain to MLG to get a schedule that will get the best performances out of all competitors in the future

making a pussy message like that to your fans is stupid. we (sc2 players) did the same thing at first. it's a bad response. it just makes everyone look bad

Yeah it's silly. CLG.eu has done this before. It just makes them look like little kids.

I like Dyrus's top lane, it's only sad that there exists a wall called Maknoon.

Ok, TSM will pick a favorable matchup for him and Oddone will camp toplane for 10 minutes and Dyrus will still get rolled hard.

FTFY.

Maknoon is way manlier than Dyrus.

He's taught by the mantoss himself no one can out man him.

So according to the white board CLG.EU had to be there at 10 am. Factoring in an hour for walking to the venue, showering and fighting other angry nerds at the buffet, they went to bed at 4 am. Sounds like something responsible "athletes" do.

Edit: According to petes facebook 6.5 hours, that sounds somewhat reasonable...

...what? In what sport is that something responsible athletes do? Baseball games usually end by 10 or 11 PM local time and typically don't start until like 1 PM at the earliest. Basketball is the same deal but they start even later. American football only happens once a week lol.

People in other sports have way more time in between games. Doesn't excuse them for being late but that's really shitty scheduling by MLG.

Thats the point. Responsible athletes don't go to bed at 4 am (or claim to) and then whine about getting no sleep. They finish their shit, fall dead into bed, get up, shower, go to the venue. I'm just pointing at the holes in the whine.

Responsible athletes don't have to play until 1 or 2 AM. They don't have games the next day at 10 AM.

It isn't even comparable.

It wasn't their choice to go to sleep at 4 am.

except it's not the first time these sort of problems happen. Last MLG FORCED players to start on time... while they were experiencing technical difficulties. Also I seem to recall multiple complaints (including from WhiteRa) where he was penalized for being late when he was informed of the wrong time.

If the problem is one off thing then sure, players should take responsibility. When it happens as frequent as it does though, you have to start looking the other way.

CLG.eu should be like Dignitas though. Dig is in the same exact position and they aren't whining. They showed up on time and played some awesome games.

Yeah, which is why CLGeu doesn't have an excuse and they probably shouldn't bring up the scheduling issues until after MLG is over.

But they should still bring up the scheduling issues at some point. MLG has had problems like this before LoL even was hosted here and they never seem to learn from their past mistakes. It's annoying as a fan because even if CLGeu arrived on time lack of sleep could be a factor. Who's to say Dignitas lack of sleep wasn't a factor in their loss to Blaze?

Oh yeah, definitely. Like Nony said, they definitely should complain, but not in the middle of their games and to their fans on social network sites. They're pretty much asking people to raise their pitchporks.
