There are a lot of AD mids you can run that can have the burst to kill ADs, even late game. They just don't do it as safe and they typically don't have the clearing power that APs do.
Froggen AD mid would work a lot better if wickd could play some AP tops but he can't. It'd also work a lot better if yellowpete could win bot lane. Zz1tai has been running AD mid for a long ass time and made it work against strong AP mids. Seeing Froggen's first LAN where he attempts to do it and dismissing it as him having an ego and it being bad is silly. But at least you recognize that there are situations where it works.
I'd agree that against that team comp it was probably a bad call.

I don't think the AD comps are bad per say or AD mid. It's just wickd can't play AP so they left with an all AD comp instead of having say an AP top with brusier mid to win mid hard.

Man, people really hate froggen around here. He was up in cs and did pretty well in teamfights. Blaze just had far superior coordination in their ganks to take a huge early game advantage.
Idk, maybe i am a froggen fanboy and that is blinding me, but I think people are putting way too much blame on him.

Having slightly more cs than your lane opponent that goes around killing your other lanes is not called "winning your lane".

It's not their first LAN where they've tried it. They tried it Poitiers vs Sypher and it got horrendously destroyed there.

You simply dont watch Froggen much, he will farm no matter what happen. Yesterday, people was making joke when Froggen with karthus left mid and go to top lane...people was like, wtf Froggen left his lane?
Its just his style, but yeah if he played an AP champ, CLG.eu teamfight might be much better.

The difference is that he was playing Lee Sin. Froggen can normally afford to farm all day when he's playing Anivia or Karthus cuz they scale insanely well with money. Lee Sin's late game sucks
