That would've been easy if the matches didn't start at 12:00am Beijing time... If it was held in the Asian evening, the matches would probably hit 2m considering the number of viewers in China, Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong and South East Asia, as well as it being convenient for the Europeans due to it beginning in the morning over the weekend. Although, of course, a viewer in the United States is worth more money to Riot than a viewer in China. | ||

I'm actually surprised that Tencent didn't try to leverage QQ to advertise for the event on say, the front page of the most popular IM client in China, that by itself would have probably added hundreds of thousands of views who might watch if interested (TBH it would be a very Riot/Tencent thing to do to offer some sort of special "hat" or QQbeans for people to tune in for infinite viewership) | ||

 Finals may or may not be more than first weekend depending on which teams are left. Cross-continent matchup would obviously draw in more viewers than otherwise. | ||
