[IEM] Season 6 Championship - Page 110
Forum Index > LoL Tournaments |
At any point of IEM Season 6 Championship, if you think of an interesting byline, please drop a sentence in the Pro Scene thread. At the end of the month, I'll catalogue the results of Hannover but also any interesting facts or events that happen over the course of the tournament. Thanks. Neo, 06.03.2012

Also M5 shows over and over again that you need a proper strategy... not just: get out of laning phase and teamfight somehow.

Its not like they had any period of strength where she'd be able to roam around and get kills. I liked the Udyr pick though. Diamondez just couldn't invade against him. Good way of dealing with the counter-jungling (though, maybe someone like Skarner or Mundo would have been better, I don't really know).

Didn't really gank or even attempt to gank ever and got outfarmed in the jungle as Udyr vs Leesin, at dragonfight kept attacking dragon the whole time instead of participating in the fight, did nothing useful all game. OddOne's jungle playstyle doesn't suit Udyr. He'd be better off with Maokai, Alistar, Nautilus, etc.

They simply had no good answer against Ashe's arrow + Kennen ult. The problem was not the individual performance. They simply had no answer to M5's strategy. Also M5 shows over and over again that you need a proper strategy... not just: get out of laning phase and teamfight somehow. I agree when you have 2 teams who are so evenly matched on skill level games can be won or lost in the picks and bans or over all strategy going into a game.

Rainman: We made mistakes. We lost dragon. People kept getting caught off one by one and then we never got a teamfight in. And it all went wrong. Deman: With the second dragon, were you out of position or what happened? Rainman: We saw them doing Dragon. And we couldn't do anything about it. So we just had to let them have it. Deman: So you felt you were out of it? Rainman: They just got too much of a lead. They kept pushing us. Deman: Did you think the double AP strat worked well? Alex: We decided to go double AP because we got some strats that we should pick Vladimir against Irelia. And Kennen works well in the combo. He can't be ganed by Udyr. He can go in. We shoot arrow and then engage. We want as many teamfight as possible. So we do early dragon, force fight. Do early Nashor. They have to stop us. Deman: Does this give you an edge by being able to do Bruisers, double AP, and all these strats? Alex: It gives us edge. We can do lane swaps. We can pick whatever we need to beat other team. Sometimes it works. Sometimes we lose online championships because we can't show all of the stuff we want for Hannover. We tried thing on mid-teams to not reveal Hannover strat. Deman: What do you take away from this? You've got 2 losses, to Curse and M5. What do you do now? Rainman: Win laning phase and take it from there. Get it right. Deman: You have EHome and SK next. What now? Rainman: It could go either way. Deman: Fan shoutouts? Rainman: Thanks guys. Love you guys. Deman: You're 3-0 in group now. Anythings to say? Alex: *Russian. Something about sponsors.*

M5 vs SK will probably impact seeding, but I feel it's going to be between tsm/sk/crs for the last 2 slots. I dunno, SK looks like it's going to be 3-0 based on what's going on vs. Curse. I think that Tsm and Crs will fight for the last spot, which is really bad for TSM since they lost to crs.
