[IEM] Kiev Discussion - Page 22

At any point of IEM Kiev, if you think of an interesting byline, please drop a sentence in the Pro Scene thread. (e.g. "Day 2: M5 hype was everything people expected")

At the end of the month, I'll catalogue the results of Kiev but also any interesting facts or events that happen over the course of the tournament.

Thanks.

What a lot of non jungle players don't seem to understand is that going to gank is more an investment in timing than time. You can't just snap your fingers and come out with an effective gank but you don't want to because those golems aren't going to farm themselves. It really shows in poor jungle players how much time they waste trying to gank lanes that need a gank but they don't pick their time.

That's true. Take game one against TSM for example we saw Sydtko spending monumental amounts of time in lanes. This wouldn't have been so bad if he had gotten some kills/summoners/towers out of it but he would just stay there when it was apparent that nothing was going to come of it. I think that in everyone of those situations a jungler like Saint V would just be cruising through his jungle or sniffing out counter ganks.

So it's going to be another 50 minutes until the SK vs TSM game. Running a bit ahead of schedule here due to stompage.

Oce is pretty damn solid, he won't get crushed by Regi. Also both TheRainMan and Kev1n looked sooo damn scary with Irelia, it will be a lane to keep an eye on.

This sounds like a solid prediction.

Most people consider Chaox the best NA AD carry too...

own3d based in europe.. twitch tv based in San Fran/NA it's just a given; esl contract with twitch tv.. can't do anything about that =X

Meaning the support to those events in Europe better on own3d than twitch (plus the server trying to handle when it's over 50K really shuts down twitch hard)... own3d 50k np =S

Dunno - I see a ton of people drooling over Doublelift but personally I prefer Chaox.

He's saying "melts down" as in do terribly (and predicting TSM loses). If you watch Regi he's wildly inconsistent and can play like a god or utter pile of crap depending on how his early game goes. A bad early game seems to really get to his mental state.

I don't think candypanda is very active I wouldn't call him best AD carry I'm pretty sure that would be yellowpete right now. Least that's what krepo and cyanide reckoned when they were talking on stream.

And Yellowpete has been considered one of the scariest AD's in EU for quite a while. Definitely up to par with Candypanda.

It has been confirmed that twitch.tv has now established firm grounds in Europe with Telecitygroup (NL) as a gateway. So EU viewers of twitch streams will see better performance. ( http://www.telecitygroup.com/justintv-selects-telecitygroup-netherlands-as-gateway-to-european-expansion.htm '

Yellowpete is probably a better AD carry than Candy right now, but Candy Nyph is still stronger than Yellowpete Krepo. Although Krepo's calls in teamfights are amazing as hell. Candy does some real retarded stuff sometimes (like that Tristana jump in clanbase finals ugh) but in botlane they are unmatched in eu right now
Go go Alliance.
