Good lord. Was Quinn's Q so powerful that they had to nerf it 3 times in the same patch? Also, cute of Riot to give Riven some health regen like it will do anything.

Increasing her HP regen by 60% won't do anything? If my math is correct it's tantamount to giving every Riven a Rejuvenation Bead to start.

It's 0.4hp/sec. That's 24hp over a single minute. That won't sustain through losing lanes. Fact of the matter is the Rejuv Bead is absolute garbage on champions with low regen since they changed almost everything to % based.

Popularity and strength don't actually coincide as often as people think.
See Malz and Thunderlord's. Vayne for a while, Lee for a while, Riven right now, so on, so forth.
I've also been saying Karth is secret OP since the AP item rework. His potential with DFT and Liandry's is disgusting. Not Riot's fault people build dumb shit and play him like it's S3.
Players are stubborn, especially with itemization, and power levels are actually really difficult to judge without a fuckton of statistics we simply don't have access to.

Anivia nerf is pretty well thought out tbh. Doesn't really affect laning, and while the chill effect won't be quite as long, it'll be a relatively short learning process. The ult leash range will take a lot of learning though. I've been dancing on the edge for 4 years :/
I'm kinda sad that you won't be able to wall one side, ult the other, and then let ADC kill turret for free while you stay out of malph flash+ult range, and completely untouchable while zoning the fuck out of the enemy team.
Thunderlord's buff is probably to try and get more AD mid's back(not that they really needed more burst to begin with tbh).

See Malz and Thunderlord's. Vayne for a while, Lee for a while, Riven right now, so on, so forth. Who said anything about popularity? Malz was a soloq monster before the preseason. He had high winrate patch after patch after patch but never saw pro play outside of the exceedingly rare 10 pro & amateur games since the start of Season 3.
Does he get fucked over by QSS? Yeah. Does soloq tend to buy QSS? No, not really. You'll see it on AD mids when they aren't going Hexdrinker or late game ADC who finally finish their "I must get IE, zeal upgrade, last whisper, BT first" mindset. Did supports get it? No. Did AP mids get it? No. Did top laners? No. They all either don't have the gold or don't want to spend an item slot on something that has 1 upgrade they don't want to buy.
Malz has been easy as shit to play and his singular weakness doesn't get exploited enough to make him not be one of the strongest mids. Vayne and Lee were flashy champions that saw pro play that made soloq players write checks their mechanics couldn't cash. Riven is probably the most difficult champion to play properly but was bolstered by the strength of Brutalizer. That's why her winrate dropped 8% in the preseason.

It was just a general statement about what the playerbase thinks is strong compared to what actually is, i.e. people surprised at 'random' Karth/Malz/Swain nerfs.
Also probably why they've yet to actually hit Soraka's heals, just the not-fun parts.
|
Lol pls. Those nerfs are just for the mega casual people. The only champ that isn't trash out of those 3 is kart.
And while good he isn't as good as the other strong mids right now.

MFW precision gets buffed
Riot, do you even math?

A Malzahar nerf? Really? Like being hard countered by an item wasn't enough.

i don't think it's gonna be noticeable. all i really take from it is that if you flash away from her when the E particle is chasing you it means that you definitely will live.

As much as I don't like seeing the DoT champs nerfed (would've been good to see them in some more pro games, seeing as how they haven't had a moment in the sun... for nearly ever), at least Riot didn't go completely overboard, though I dislike nerfing the problematic mastery and the champs at the same time. I question the Swain nerf though, Nevermove is already pretty difficult to land in the current league world. It should have a good reward.
|
I guess it's much easier to be stubborn and pretend Riot's incompetent than to look at stats.
Mal winrate in Diamond, both NA and EU, 53%. So casual!
|
mfw 53% is considered should be nerfed
The only thing easier than being stubborn ( or actually using your brain) is parroting stats from champion.gg :-)

If you had to use R to get in range for E, and you're in the range where you need the double damage proc to kill they'll survive. ER won't change even if they flash I think. Probably the only scenario that makes a difference aside from teamfighting.
