I can already tell many of you are cowering in fear. I can also already tell many of you are saying: "TSM is lazy!" "TSM are just a bunch of frat guys with a reality show and no drive to be the best." "TSM is full of a bunch of baddies who couldn't tell a poke comp if a Nidalee spear flew into their butt." "Crs, CLG, and Dig are gonna poop all over TSM and they wont even be relevant by mid-season."
Let me count the ways so that TSM fanboys and the vast amount of TSM converts I create with this post can laugh at your naiveté.
1) TSM TSM TSM! 2) FK IT. Baylife. 3) They have been on the winner's podium at IEM, MLG, IPL, and even the NA Season 2 Regionals. No other League of Legends team can say they have won an IEM, MLG, IPL, AND Riot event. 4) Over the course of 2012 TSM accumulated $209,200 in tournament winnings. CLG? $129,400. Weak sauce. Dig? $119,900. Paltry. Crs? $47,300. HA! My 3rd world African students scoff at that pocket change.

You are right generic TSM hater/naysayer. It is a new season and TSM isn't the same. They're better. And let me fill you in on why:
Why am I so underrated! The AD Carry: Shan "Chaox" Huang The man is an AD powerhouse. He consistently has one of the highest CS on TSM and usually has the most kills and best KDA ratio. The best part? He is SEVERLY underrated by almost everyone, including players and fans alike. When people think about TSM they think about shutting down Regi and Dyrus. More often than not people forget about Chaox until it's too late and he is racking up triples, quads, and pentas like it's an everyday occurrence. During pre-season 3 he managed to get to the #1 rank on soloq with his main and #2 rank on soloq with his smurf. Chaox is an AD to be feared and his excellent and quiet farming coupled with his positioning and team fighting ability will help propel TSM to the top.
Although he has been kicked off TSM, we will never forget how he helped TSM to their glory and there will always be a special place in our hearts for you Chaox. GLHF and we look forward to seeing you to spread the baylife to China!

But no worries, WildTurtle is an amazing player with an amazing smile! Since he joined TSM, they finished the LCS Spring season with a 12-2 streak and a securing of the 1st place in the playoffs, a spot in the Summer Season, and the clear favorites of NA. Don't be fooled by his charming demeanor and exuberant smile - WildTurtle is exactly what you think he is: A CAT!!?? Proof! Hell. In his FIRST LCS game of all time, he scored a pentakill. The first one of the NA LCS! He was also nominated as the NA LCS MVP during his first week of play. If that doesn't scream BAYLIFE, I don't know what does.
Now that I figured out the meaning of life... How do we beat CJ-Blaze? The Support: Alex "Xpecial" Chu Behind FDR, there was Eleanor. Behind Chaox and TSM, there is Xpecial. Maybe one of the smartest and best League of Legends players out there today, the quiet and talented Xpecial silently carries TSM. He supports like a baws, making Chaox look like a god, and TheOddOne's bottom ganks look like a bronze player could pull them off. He has been know to lane against Regi and beat him. He destroyed Dyrus in three straight games at Top. Xpecial makes plays without anyone even noticing him. He even plays for TSM AND the opposing team when he wants, just for the LOLZ. + Show Spoiler +

What if I burn down OTHER teams' houses instead of ours... Huehuehue Top Lane Terror: Marcus "Dyrus" Hill Dyrus is one the most famous members on TSM. A League of Legends veteran, when he isn't trying to burn down the TSM house Dyrus laughs at the competition whether he is trolling with Singed or pioneering champions such as Jax and Vlad. Gaming is in his blood for Christ sakes as his mom was rank 1 in Everquest for Enchanters. Don't let his nonchalant attitude fool you. Dyrus has been practicing hard and striving to improve. No top lane will be able to beat Dyrus and his beloved pillow.
Must prepare for battle... Against the yordles!! The Jungle: Brian "TheOddOne" Wyllie TheOddOne. OddBro. The General. Admiral OddOne. TheGodOne. Known by many names, and all of them feared. TheOddOne was one of the best junglers in Season 1 and he continues to be a top tier jungler to this day. Somewhat like Xspecial, a lot of TSM's victories come at the great game sense and plays of TheOddOne, but he is hardly recognized for it. His KDA is usually not impressive, but that's because he almost always gives his kills to Regi, Chaox, or Dyrus. His Maokai is constantly banned out as he not only popularized it, but is one of the best Mao's in the world. Look for TheOddOne to gank all day erryday as he jungles TSM to victory.
Leeeeeeeeroy Jenkins! Mid Lane: Andy "Reginald" Dinh The man. The myth. The legend. People love to hate him, and hate that they love him. Reginald is one of the most, if not the most, aggressive mid laners in the game today. His Leeeeeeeeeroy Jenkins playstyle has garnered him a lot of fans and a LOT of haterz. It has also given TSM many wins. Whether he is flash walling with Karthus, cleaning up mid lane with Ahri, or calling the shots in team fights - Reginald's leadership, aggressiveness, and shot calling is a staple to the TSM's squad as they faceroll their way to the Season 3 Championship. Oh. And just WAIT until someone lets him play Leblanc. Shit. Will. Get. REAL.
So TSM might lose a few games here and there. Who cares! They only have to be top 4 until Worlds when they crush the competition. Now is the time to experiment one game, and crush the next. CLG beat them? Looks like FOTM comp isn't that great, how about we use our better comp to make Vulcun look like the bottom tier NA team they are and Dig the overrated "Troika" team everyone sees them to be.
Once TSM is done with NA, they will move on to Worlds with a bag full of tricks, standard comps, and victory ensured strategies.

TSM has a pretty tough Week 1+2 combo. Only team that has to play six matches in two weeks. If TSM goes 3-0 this week, I'll give this fanclub props. Nothing less than 3-0 though.

I love TSM. The best team in NA, now and always. They work harder then anyone, and with that hard work they will get the reward they deserve. It might take some time, but give it few weeks and they will destroy all other NA teams.

I feel pretty much the same. It seems like Dyrus works hard these days and takes it seriously - that's why he has improved so much. But Regi/Oddone are just so unpredictable you never know whether they're gonna dominate or throw - can't rely on them.
I think you forgot one thing - TSM haven't changed their roster since Dyrus joined the team - (I think it was Xpecial that said this in an interview) Teams should try to keep the same players for as long as they can. When you get a new player you have to adapt to their playstyle and that takes time. Thankfully, I don't see a new TSM member that would join anytime soon... Hopefully it never happenes and all of TSM stays together throughout all of their LoL careers. And they look like really good friends too sooo that's that

So glad that they have been performing so well after that botlane switch. Now that hockey season is over here, all my sports focus goes on following the general and his team. ^^
Only just had the change to watch those last 2 games. Was so happy TSM got the first place, and that was probably the highlight of sporting year 2013 for me.
And imho it really shows, they made the right choice on taking a break after S2, and then coming back. Other teams seemed to slump hard in the last few weeks, and TSM only got stronger. I know this is partly do to the WT change, but i really think small part of it is the fact that many of the teams did not take the time out to empty their minds after S2.
Still a LOT of work to do if they want to challenge the best EU teams, and not even going to say anything about the asians, but it can be done, just have to work hard, and everything is possible.

If he had the choice between killing a player and killing minions, he would choose to kill minions. It is fucking baffling. Does he not understand that farm is always relative? Keeping the enemy from getting farm will get you just as ahead as getting farm. Having a farm fest actually allows your opponents to keep up or get ahead and you have no control over it.

I have a lot of time for TOO after this series, particularly the finals. Dude is a very very solid player and pulled out his best play when it counted. Kind of wish I voted for him now.

Oddone came down to Hawaii and played in a fan tourney meet and greet thing at a local PC bang. He's one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet and was super cool to hang out with. Dadyrus was there, too. Both of them say hi to TL, and I let them know about the TSM fanclub thread we got going. He seemed pretty happy about it.

Also, we played a tournament after with random teams (I was with Oddone's girlfriend/Dadyrus/two others) and I got a sweet quadra kill on Oddone and his team with fizz on his stream! I also used a playful/trickster to dodge the damage on a q and land/DFG/WQ before he killed me at a sliver, then lamill (his gf) shatters for the kill. I typed GIRLFRIEND KILL into chat and all the spectators were like OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Also, I may be the only player in teamliquid to play multiple times vs TOO and still be undefeated
Hahaha nah jk but it was mad cool to meet him irl. Seriously one of the nicest and most down to earth guys ever. He had a team with a bunch of scrubs from the random draw and ours was stacked but he took the L with a smile on his face and played a couple showmatches while the tourney went on and signed stuff and took pictures on the way out. Awesome guy.
I've always been a big fan of TSM, but in the last 2-3 seasons they've really fallen off. It's funny when I remember when League of Legends player count contained around 4-5M active players. League was so much better and more enjoyable back in Season 3... Do you guys miss the old League?
I don't miss a lot of the broken things, like old kassadin, league of cleavers, and the ardent censer meta where you just play janna/lulu every game. But I get they have to change things to keep the meta rotating.

I mean that's just growing old. I've been playing league for just shy of a decade now. There were weeks when I was a university student with nothing better to do when I played 50 games a week. Now I'm employed, busy with life and so on(granted with Covid I have way more free time). I think I've got around 50 ranked games this year so far. Probably gonna aim for Plat 2 and call it a good season.
Not playing as much, other things like getting concussed(not my fault), snapping wrist in half(my fault) and so on. Life has it's way of making you worse at the game.
I do miss the simpler days. Now every champ does like 10 different things with 8 passives and a sweet spot nuke and so on.

Because when the standard for TSM was "get to the finals every time and then win half of them for 5 years" not going to Worlds, winning LCS finals, or even making LCS finals is a drop off.

You are misremembering things. 2012 was the year when TSM got placed in quarters against Azubu Frost (with the whole Woongfucker screencheating controversy), in 2013 TSM got placed in groups (same group as SKT T1) and it was C9 that got the bye to quarters since they finished Summer Split 1st in their dominant debut split. In 2014, Riot abolished the auto-seeding into quarterfinals and everyone got placed into groups and TSM actually legit got out of groups to faceoff against Samsung White, although some people will never give TSM any credit for that and say that it was solely because SK Gaming wasn't playing at full force since Svenskeren got banned for 3 games due to his racist remarks in Taiwanese soloqueue or whatever reason they get to perpetuate the meme that TSM never does well internationally.
It’s funny how covid has affected things for me. As a nurse, I’m dreading wave 2 as it starts up in my area (US SE). I’m kinda sad about TSM not making worlds, but I also don’t think they fit the meta well. Also find it a bit hilarious. It is really sad that the old skool perennial powerhouses (CLG/TSM) really haven’t been good. It’s worse that the LCS is boring af to watch; there are no good casters and the games are boring. I miss having hope that LCS teams could do well on the international stage
