they removed renektons Q/E auto animation cancel but riven is allowed to keep hers -.-

I don't get why they removed the R/E Graves ult combo, it wasn't used super often and I don't think it anywhere close to being a problem. It also looked cool.

New Cait skin looks ok I guess. I still like Pulsefire Ezreal a lot althoguh most people seem to hate it?

I thought the reason they kept all of Riven's animation cancels was because she was designed from the ground up to be a fighting game character (specifically Marth from SSBM).

I don't think D-Shield really fixed the issues with why people weren't buying it. Mana, not HP, is the limiting stat in the early game for most champs, and I don't think the on-hit is strong enough to make up for the pushing power advantage raw ap/ad gives you.

GA change also seems like a great advantage for toplaners like Jarvan or Renek and other AD toplaners.

Its good that they finally buffed the tanks, they were too weak for the last several months (seasons?) So, now they can build better defensive items with more armor, its also good that armor penetration got nerfed, coz tanks were dying too fast. The only thing that I dont understand is why no buffs to ninja tabis?
With ninja tabis and new omen, crit adc may possibly do damage to tanks, so tabis needs the buff urgently

Mundo doesn't really have cc aside from Cleaver spam so unless you've got to bodyblock a team's worth of skillshot for your squishies I'm not sure what the Stoneplate would do for him. His damage threat is really what forces people to deal with him, kinda like Nautilus was completely ignorable offensively speaking once he blew Dredge Line and Depth Charge between the gutting of W and the rework of E.

Nothing to help tanks in the jungle with their first clear. Not that I expected it, but that's been one of my biggest gripes with this year. I used to be able to play tank, ad, ap, or marksmen out of the jungle based on need. Now it's just ad or ap.

As to actual items, the death dance buff looks really good.

For some reason I am not feeling that Cait skin. The gun morph animations are cool but other than that the skin seems meh to me. I am not feeling the projectiles and the coloring feels bland to me.

I think when they were making Riven they took some scrapped ideas and put them into Fiora v1.

But yes, Riven is designed and coded specifically to have a lot of animation canceling. If you want to player her well, you have to be good at her animation cancels. Take those away and she's going to need buffs to everything and her skill floor drops hard.

Grave's self knockback on his ult was put there intentionally to take him out of range of what he ulted. It's supposed to be the final shot.
