I think the idea is to make sure Ashe isn't suddenly absolutely disgustingly broken in 2v2s.
It's still pretty op on Ashe tbh. Ashe-Xin Zhao might as well be the new Leona Jarvan. Her support at level 1 still gets like 2.5 + 650 * (.025 / 2) = 9.8 life per auto.
Quite terrifying, actually.
I like the new BoS. It's a neat mechanic. I would like it more if it did damage instead of healed when popped, but it's still pretty sweet actually.

Damn, this new bond of stone might make me play Cuck Olaf your allies healing for like 80 hp for hitting anyone you hit with an axe in the midgame sounds absolutely disgusting

they worded it specifically to avoid that tbh. so you're getting like 40hp/sec instead of 80hp/auto - which is still okay, but not super enticing and actually kinda weak in this not tank heavy meta.
It actually seems very niche. it only works well on melee supports that can trade well/poke with thier cc... so maybe braum/taric? both would still probably rather stick with coc/windspeakers

I've been having a lot of fun going sheen->gunblade->trinity->botrk (with lucidity boots after gunblade) on Ezreal.
Mana is slightly tight, but not bad. The sustain is absurd. The burst damage is absurd. The sustain dps is kinda meh though.
Nothing like one shotting the enemy adc from a bush ^.^.

Don't you normally want to get TF as early as possible because its damage falls off the longer the game goes (Outscaled by crit). I could imagine Sheen -> Cutlass -> TF might be quite scary, it's more expensive than the conventional Tear -> TF though.
I don't like the idea behind the new bond of stone because it makes champions who don't have any form of strong/repetitive CC weaker.

Gunblade active is REALLY strong, and it also doesn't scale. The build is basically get a bunch of items that all can somewhat stand on their own - they are all strong in their own right on Ez, without needing synergy.
40s CD on gunblade means it's always up.
Also, 15% damage vamp is massively stronger then the 10% lifesteal on Ezreal, as your E/W/R all do pretty good damage, and the E gets the 100% value from it, as it is single target.
Strongest part about the build though is that people don't respect the burst damage that you bring, as they have never seen gunblade ez before.
Also, against teams with no tanks at all you can go gunblade->trin->shiv->ie for the fun of it ^.^.

I don't like the idea behind the new bond of stone because it makes champions who don't have any form of strong/repetitive CC weaker. its supposed to be a mastery for support champs. i cant think of any popular support that doesnt have a bundle of cc's

I mean the design might be intended to shift the support meta which is pretty stale at this point

Back with 2 noob questions
1)Is there a way to customize the preset item suggestions on the new client? I have pretty much never used the legacy one since I was new and especially now with the practice tool.
2) Im not level 30 yet since I played sparingly but does your normal MMR matter for the initial calibration or is the starting point or the calibration games always the same (i.e. Like Starcraft?) for everybody initially? Probably no official answer but is there a general consensus?
Thanks

Thanks 1) Not in the new client. You can boot up in legacy and make a set, I think it should be still be active in the new client. They removed the feature with no plans on implementing it again due to nearly nobody using it.
2) Your normal MMR is completely seperate from your ranked MMR. All standard gamemodes have their own MMR this includes ARAM, no idea if stuff like URF use a MMR system tho.
....................
EDIT: Actually I'm not entirely sure if your ranked MMR can negatively or positively affect your normal MMR, but your normal MMR certainly doesn't change your ranked.
EDIT2: There's an ItemSets.json file in the config folder, so somebody might have made a tool to edit them like there's a tool to change VAs.
EDIT3: If you're reheating some coffee in a microwave dont give it 1 hour instead of 1 minute and then procede to forget about it.

Actually, I'm pretty sure that your normal MMR used to determine where your ranked MMR began in terms of placements, but in this new age of Solo and Flex Queue I'm not sure if that is still true. Regardless, the impact is fairly minimal and vastly dwarfed by the outcome of those placement games, so I wouldn't really worry about it.

Your MMR raise very fast with win streaks at low/average MMR so for a smurf you fly up really fast. The first few placement games on my smurf was against bronze and silvers at around 5-0 I started being matched with gold and plats irrc.

Thanks gotta use 3rd party tools to edit the item set files right now as they haven't remade that functionality yet

Hey. I've been considering starting to play twisted treeline. Any big picture things I should know before jumping in so I don't embarrass myself and infuriate my teammates?

Learn what the meta champions are (you can look up challenjour teams and see what's commonly picked/banned) and understand the importance of the jungle/alters. Smaller map means it's faster paced.

2 usual lane set ups - 1. top bruiser/ranged ad, jungle cc tank, bot ap caster 2. top tank cc support + carry champ (carry smite, support exh/heal) , bot ap caster
for the duo lane in #2 graves/taric is the most op one with taric being the best support by far. legit have never seen him lose and he is near perma banned high elo
you usually don't see #2 until you get to higher elo / premades.
anything that is a strong early game/low item teamfigher or oppressive laner is generally good in TT.
things that need to scale are generally bad with some exceptions.
just have fun with it and don't feel bad if people start to flame. people are way more prone to blame in that mode believe it or not. simply because a lot of them only play TT and have low tolerance for people new to it even if they are bad enough that they are stuck in the same elo as newbies to the mode.
also if you are in the diamond elo range, beware of the bullshit matchmaking. i've pretty much stopped playing the mode besides to prevent decay because of the match making. the last 3-4 games I've played on that mode on like 1 month intervals have been with low diamond/high plat solo players on my team vs premade challengers. its honestly retarded lol. its pretty fun climbing though since tons of champs are viable on TT /haven't been figured out on it.

Still a ways out, but is anybody from TL planning on going to spring finals?
I've already confirmed tickets for myself and a few friends.

Can someone briefly explain monster aggro and when the camp resets?
It is my understanding that monsters aggro the closer champ that attacks it and it will only reset have it changes aggro X number of times or it runs out of it's leash range. But, I have had two seperate incidents now where I drive by and hit a red/blue buff to assist a teammate then the monster chases me until it resets even though the teammate was attacking it the entire time. Do I have to let it hit me or what?
Edit: also what setting do I change so that my champ doesnt stop moving while I hold tab to look at scoreboard? Dont get why thats default setting.
