I always play out those games in the hopes the enemy team is bad enough and mine is good enough but it only works out like 10% of the time.
Ex. Top jayce jungle nid mid tf adc caitlyn sup blitz vs Maokai top panth jg mid fizz adc sivir sup alistar
Its like uhh if we snowball i guess we can win but otherwise that team just rolls over you while having more snowball potential and has a very hard time throwing with such a faceroll comp.

It's five minutes. Just wait.

But add champ select and the not rare at all 10min+ queue and you very well could have near finished a game by that point. But yes it would be worth for keeping your mmr high if that was your primary goal.

It doesn't happen very often, just it does occasionally.
I just think its dumb I have to get locked out 5 minutes for not wanting to play those 1 in 20 type games where you just know based off of champion interactions you are screwed.
why? If we reward for you dodging 1/20 it rewards others for dodging 1/10 1/5 or 1/2 and suddenly everyones dodging how about reward me for not dodging ever and penalise everyone else based on how often they dodge?
everytime you dodge everyone else in the game wastes the 10 minutes of select+q time, I have a lot of fucking dodges even when I never dodge myself I think only an extra 5 minutes is actually a generous deal

Having encountered Brand damage firsthand now, my only question is dear god, why? I got tagged by his ult on two bounces and he hit me with a w because of his ult slow and he supposedly did 1000+ damage from his passive to me, which was about as much as the rest of his stuff combined.
I'm not really sure how on earth he could do 1000 damage from his passive against a target with 2000 health. He had an absolute maximum of 500 AP at the time, probably more like 350. I calculated the damage from his other abilities and those look correct. And he was the only one who damaged me, and he definitely 100-0ed me...
|
Did it show up his passive in the death recap? Because if it didn't, then it did less damage than the other 3 sources. Did he use Ignite? Did he have Deathfire Touch (he prob had, and that'd deal more damage than his passive unless it exploded)? Were there minions and/or a tower?

Don't remember if anybody else has asked this, but what are people's experiences with the protobelt in particular. The only times I've bought it were A. on Nami after being like 4/0/10 or something silly like that and wanting a bit more mobility/damage, and full AP nunu on all for one(which I was laughing my ass off at due to the sheer silliness of it).
As far as soloq goes I've seen it work to great effect on Annie(add's another extra range and burst even when flash is down, and when it's up she can come in essentially from FoW)
Other champs that I'd theorize would go excellently would be liss (she wants to be in the middle of the enemy team, and another AoE/mobility synergizes excellently when flash is down).
A lot of others would value the mobility pretty highly I think.

I bet its wickd smaaht on galio gigga already has top winrate top lane for some reason probably decent on amumu too
|
Current usage has it pretty high on Vlad, being picked up 21.22% of the time. Followed by Annie at 10%, Kennen at 7.9%, Fizz at 5.8% and Fiddle at 3.8% to round out the top 5. Of the top 10 champions that use it, all of them sport a 50%+ winrate in games where they buy it, Vlad coming in the lowest at 50.5%.
|
I can't think of any reason to buy it on Fizz, surprised to see him on the list.
|
i have hard time buying it over RoA on any champion who uses mana
on a side note anyone else thinks ghostblade+ BC lucian is ridiculous ?

the revolver does seem strong for early all-ins? i kinda want to try it. seems like it would be good on paper and is fairly cheap. especially early on with the changes it will take time for people to get used to the damage
like if you compare it to just a sheen it definitely seems more attractive even if lichbane is the better final item
|
After playing against a Rumble who rushed it (the revolver), it seemed stupid as fuck, but Rumble's stupid whenever you lane melee against him anyway, and it was the first time I played against him since they buffed the range and minion damage of Flamespitter, so I'm not sure how much of it is to be attributed to the revolver.

Protobelt is awesome.
That shotgun blast is so gud.

like if you compare it to just a sheen it definitely seems more attractive even if lichbane is the better final item I'd like to experiment with revolver but I"m getting mid at what feels like a 10% clip this week so I always feel pressured to make the most of it and do what I know works.

Or just build Protobelt anyway because it is good.
You get a second flash AND a a shotgun effect; each bolt does 75 – 150 (+ 35% AP) and you shoot 8 bolt forward. Each additional bolt only does 20% damage, but the assassination it provides is nuts. If all bolts hit you get 2.4x [1+7*0.2=2.4] the damage [180 - 360 (0.84 AP)]. At level 18 with 500 AP you do 535 additional damage with 1 bolt and all 8 you do 785 damage from outside your kit.
Like, mediocre assassins can build this thing and suddenly they easily burst things. Anything with a stun that builds AP turns into Leblanc.
Forgetting the nuke it is still a free dash! You can go ham with aggressive moves and forces flashes for free.
Stats are relatively mediocre, but its made up for by the fact that its build path is real efficient. If the stats were any better I'd by it on everyone.
Only thing not amazing about it is that it can't go over walls.

Oh I'm not talking about the belt I'm talking about the Gunblade, not to shit on the belt you make a good argument for it, but I think the gun blade looks more appealing for heros who don't really struggle to get in like Fizz(hence my comment above.)
Fizz has always sorta been strapped for item slots, his synergy with Lichbane effectively removes an item slot, then you have shoes + hat + void + hourglass... you have 1 truly free slot after which you have to make some hard choices.
|
On Fizz you might not want. Not sure.
Liich prolly better.
Just in general though, man protobelt is good. i think I should see it every game but i don't.

Yes, Brand's passive showed as 1050+ or so damage from the passive in the death recap. Probably had deathfire touch, but it wouldn't be that much damage. He didn't ignite, no one was close enough to use ignite. No where near any other source of damage. I thought I was fine, then I took a burst of 1000 damage on top of his spells and was like wttttf. I was thinking maybe liandries+deathfire might do it, but even the most aggressive assumptions put it way under 1000.
We also had a locket aura nearby, and he didn't have a void staff. Which I would have thought would be a requirement for hitting that much damage, but apparently not... he did have a frost queens claim, but when you're looking for a 500+ damage discrepancy in damage, that's peanuts.
