It says only roster change is Fox for Eika. Also they will use the Schalke 04 name and logo which is pretty crazy to me. Might help with the recognition of esports in Germany. Maelk is supposed to stay as "head of esports". Got a rather low opinion about that guys expertise by now but oh well. "Soccer org" Ahahaha, this is like calling a goal a frag, how unaware of sports in general do you have to be to call a club an org?

Yeah its ridiculous, said about the same on Reddit. Btw there are apparently 2 new Koreans (jungle and adc) in Eu that Kasing was playing with. http://euw.op.gg/summoner/userName=VIT Mightybear http://euw.op.gg/summoner/userName=4G GAP Shook and Hjarnan were probably weak spots on Vitality. But replacing them with unknown (at least to me) Koreans would be disappointing.

It was surprising Hybrid joined the tryout and I dont think it was planned in advance. I think it would not have happened if G2 players did not go to Korea at the same time.

Is Rookie really Chinese when he grew up on KT and goes home regularly? Is Piglet really American when the only relevant part of his career was in Korea? The problem you have (if you have a problem with the rule) is with LCS itself.

I think there are conflicting motives going on here. The Esports team clearly wants to somehow protect local players where as Riots design team is pushing people to be more casual in their approach to the game and focus less on individual improvement. It's all kind of weird. It's an issue of preventing the problem or addressing the problem once it happens? Maybe if they took steps to make NA a place where talent can grow then they wouldn't be so quick to look at outside players. Overall if they go through with this I can understand why but rather dislike it. It harms the guys that have made the decision to work towards this over the last few years. Just because they aren't from the NA region doesn't mean they should be treated unfairly like this. Changing the rules moments away from the finishing line is just disgusting.

If they keep the current import rules then in theory, for Spring Split 2017 C9 could have had their main team be Impact/Rush/Jensen/Sneaky/Bunny (or Hai), and TL could have Fenix/Piglet/Matt for their core players and grab imports/replacements for Lorulo and/or Dardoch (though if memory serves all of the NA rookies on TL were pretty solid at the end of Spring 2016 split). Also keep in mind that the "Korean exodus" happened almost 2 years ago, and if China doesn't win Worlds this year I could easily see them throwing more money at more of the Korean pro players to import them to China if the rules stay the same. Personally I feel like the best way to stop this import poaching from happening is putting forth this rule: At least two of the players on your team have to have been born in the region they play for, or have acquired both permanent residency AND official citizenship.

Why do people mind if their favourite team is full Korean or something, lol. Never prevented top English or Italian football squads to land 10-11 foreigners. On the other hand you have leagues like Russian, where you can play not more than 5 foreigners. Well, it never helped to develop the domestic talent, that's why the national team got like 1,5 okay players since the limit was introduced. On less serious note, that's still my favourite tweet about this "TSM rule".
