I'm assuming it was more an ego thing than malice. Showing off how in the "know" he is and how valuable he is with his insider information more so than trying to do iG any harm.

Yes being on the desk is huge and he wanted to show off how much of an insider he is in the chinese scene.

He is very outsider now. I mean chinese teams would now talk with any other analyst from the analyst desk over Tabe given they all protested while Tabe wanted to just spoiler the whole strategy.

Didn't realize LoL has so much drama lol. This Tabe fellow sounds like he's done a lot of questionable actions. I don't know much about him though from the video, it didn't seem like he hesitated when giving out the strategy, but I also feel that it was going back to the idea of him wanting to be seen as knowledgeable rather than maliciously. Just the thoughts of someone who knows nothing about this scene.

Given that he's been a player and a coach for so long, assuming he didn't have a malicious intent does not make him stupid, it makes him an utter retard lol. Pretty sure he had to know what he was doing. I hope he's gone for good now.

This makes no sense. If he wanted to do harm then he is a retard, because he did not do any other than to himself. He leaked right before the start of the game and it seems highly unlikely that ahq heard any of it.

But if what O-ops said is true then Tabe knew ahq would not hear what he said anyway and it was not even that stupid and we are overreacting. Although you can argue it was somewhat of a leak for their next opponents in case heca would not get played.

Lol you know if no one stopped him he would have gone in on that shit. Might not have affect that particular game but it's a problem for sure for all future games. It's not like they prep a completely diff strat for every team.

They actually used similar picks later on iirc. I think we saw the Kalista and maybe a Lee Sin too.

He wasn't going to stop at kennen/kallista. I'm assuming we would have got solo lane picks if the desk didn't stop him. Plenty of time between games for c9/fnc to prep based on the information.

I feel like this whole thing is getting way way out of proportion.

What he did ws stupid and disrespectful...but to say ithad any effect on the matches seems a bit far-fetched for me.

It would be different if suddenly we saw AHQ come out with a Hecarim ban... and this is just a horrible idea and sets a horrible precedent.

He was definitely just trying to show off about his insider information for Chinese teams...but we can all see he has pretty much ruined his Chinese esports career by now...and due to China being the largest market on the planet for Riot..I highly doubt we will see more of him on the desk in the future.

And about all of his past drama... meh..you gotta make that money and cash in on everything you can. Noone else is going to be paying his bills and supporting him for the rest of his life... make it while you can, you don't owe your life to any strangers.

(And people saying it influences future matches are legitimately insane... are we pretending the other teams live in a vacuum and wont see IG play this Hecarim comp? If he knew they were playing it that day the ONLY team he could have spoiled it for was AHQ, since everyone else was going to see them play the comp before their match anyways)

I reread the whole thing more thoroughly and I still don't see anything wrong with his past actions. It's just...drama. From an outsider, none of us can really say who's in the right for any of those incidents. Spoiling a strategy is unforgivable even for an accident now that I think about it a little more though. RIP Tabe

He said this very near the start of the day, before the very first game of the day. Plus he also called the kalista kennen bot lane which they then played several hours later. The players are all over social media between games, just look at their twitter feeds.

And even if we imagine that somehow this wouldn't get to the players on the stage, OR to the other two teams ig would face (who have tv's in their dressing room showing the games, so they saw him say it live.) Then there was still a chance at the time of a 4 way tie in the group (3-3 each) so there were even situations where ig wouldn't have wanted to reveal those strats until the bracket stage.

Also don't forget how much Dig went on tilt when Dyrus leaked their strat (see Scarra's reflections interview). Imagine how much when you see some commentator just reading to blab your entire strategy. While iG obviously didn't get knocked out of groups only because of Tabe, it was still a stupid thing to do from him. Seriously wtf was he thinking.

Makes sense. The whole thing with the leak is that it basically sets tabe as someone who can't be trusted with any inside info. If he was willing to tell everyone on the analysis desk and the public who else could he have told?

Well, I hope that he won't be a problem again in the future and I wouldn't be surprised if he gets blacklisted or some sort.
