He said hes not really gonna focus on climbing the ladder on his main account until its about that time for the season to end for the rewards.
Besides, we all know he can get into Challenger pretty easily. Hes just doing the account switching so his viewers have something to watch which is mainly LoL and not that final fantasy crap hes been playing while in queue

Why did riot even bother charging canadians in CAD? Must have been a new change anyway, because last times I bought RD I got charged in USD like I do everywhere else on the Internet. Lol.
They say they don't want to be a currency conversion company, but now they are being exactly that.
Googled it, riot only started accepting CAD in august 2014. Why bother. This just creates pr nightmares for nothing. Guarantee next time we're at par they magically forget to decrease the price too.
Some bullshit.

Same reason Steam did recently too. It's not like we don't get gouged for boxed games in stores anyway right?

I don't see what the big deal is. Canadians can still pay via usd, I mean it sucks you guys no longer get rp for less money, but it makes sense for riot to equalize per region.

The big deal is they took something that was fair (everyone pays in USD), and have turned it around on us with CAD payments adjusted to the market whenever riot sees fit.
Canadians see this all the time. Oil will be back up at 80 dollars a barrel in 10 to 12 months and suddenly we'll be paying 120% of what Americans pay.
Just frustrating because we get price gouged all over the place as it is.
Whatever, I guess from here on out I'll spend 5 minutes doubt math and make sure I get the cheapest RP every time I buy.

If you have a good matchup (against melees as you say) you generally smash lane, otherwise you get smashed. Then it's the same in teamfights, if the enemy team can kite decently you get beaten to a pulp regardless of how lane went. If they can't kite well you can do okay if you smashed lane, otherwise you're fucked anyway. It's not about advanced thinking, team effort and counterplay. The issue with Darius is that counterplay is extremely limited. If the enemy team picked champions that are bad against Darius you can do well. If they picked champions that are good against Darius you WILL get smashed. No amount of clever thinking can change this, it's just the way his kit works. lol, why the fuck do people keep thinking darius has no counterplay? rofl. dude, i've seen too many games where a legendary darius just fuckign straightup loses games, because he can't do shit outside of laning.
It doesn't help that most Darius players don't understand the transition he needs to make to peel in the later game (and how you should not hold onto your ult but just dump in on the enemy tank as soon as you have 5 stacks).

And they're giving a warning so you can stockpile on cheaper rp before this happens?

They're mad they're RP gains are getting nerfed instead of ours getting buffed to compensate, despite the fact that most people didn't even know they could buy RP using CAD. Riot loves nerfing, even when it comes to their business model. /s

No, i'm mad because I know in 6 months everyone purchasing in CAD will be gouged 10% because I think that is a rather unethical business model.
I'm also kind of annoyed that they wasted resources on making RP purchases available in CAD in the first place. Complete waste of time, because any credit card would do that for you, and the only other way to get RP would be to prepurchase a card instore...
Its not that RP prices will be the same that I am upset about, it is the sudden currency exchange gouging potential. Its pointless, looks bad to the customer, and really just wastes everyones time. I already pay a bank to automatically exchange Canadian currency into american currency at a good rate. No Canadian gains anything by riot offering RP in CAD.

I would save the anger about the price gouging until it actually happens, myself.

Heres the thing though, it will unless they update the pricing weekly, in which case they are just thjrowing resources to the wind.
Them selling RP in CAD doesn't help anyone. Anyway, I suppose it is an overall minor issue. I think we should move on from this topic.

Speaking from a business point of view, increasing the cost for RP through CAD is totally fine if people still want to use CAD to buy RP after the price hike. Everything CAD related sucks right now due to the degradation of the currency, and I don't think it's Riot's fault to increase their prices based on the world's economy. Saying "They shouldn't have ever made RP available through CAD" is just very ignorant in my opinion. What disservice are they doing by offering more avenues for people to buy their RP cards? I just don't see it. If some young Canadian fan wants to spend his CAD in a store on some RP cards what is the problem with that?

It's also going up in all of Europe and Oceania, so...

But yeah, I guess I don't see the point in having different currencies as long as you can buy in euros and have it immediately give you the equivalent USD RP. Riot cares about getting the same amount of USD for their purchases and the consumers care about not getting a worse deal than another group of people for no reason.

Making transactions easy to understand for the consumer is an entirely reasonable goal. Frequently updating the amount of RP you get per package to match exchange rates (Oh, sorry, this week 5€ isn't enough to get you that skin you wanted-- what, you don't keep up with the relative strengths of global currencies day-to-day?) or forcing all transactions to be straight-up priced in another country's currency are two 'solutions' that it's understandable riot would be interested in avoiding.

Euro might still be stronger than the USD, but the value of the Euro is going down, and it's going down quickly.
When the value of your currency goes down, the prices for imported goods go up. Riot is a US company, RP cards are an import.
That's just how the world works.
We should get Goumindongs opinion on this!
