Sure, his lategame is a a bit better, but he lost his ridiculous midgame powerspike where laser would just wreck people in one hit, and you could actually land it pretty easily. From playing him both before and after the rework, I like the after effects they put on the abilities and I like the new hex evolution item, but yeah I don't like the hit the laser took. I understand that they had to lower the damage since they added the rupturing effect, but they hit it too hard I feel. It is harder to land the after effect since it is thin, unlike the ruptures of say Vel'Koz or Braum. Maybe adjusting the size of the after effect would increase its usefulness enough to better accept the hit to the laser's power.

I really appreciate the honest, not-100%-positive angle TL takes with these episodes. They're really fascinating.
Also, what's with the ingame comms? Do teams get access to that or something? What's in the video sounds much higher quality than other listen-in videos. Maybe it's just because they're isolating one player?

Yeah, teams get access to all in game comms. The production quality on this is so damn good.

Yea, nevermind what I said about Viktor before. Remember when people used to say his laser was too hard to hit and unreliable that was the reason he didn't see play? Yea, that was a lie. Just like when people said it about Rumble ult.

viktor isn't special as far as zoning mages go but he's definitely not a troll pick. there's some potential with the damage scaling he has, and dat speedboost.
the way he is played in korea is a heavy heavy farming mage and it's easy to feel that it has no impact when it's just farming creep.

I feel like Viktors laser beam skill hitbox is broken.
There are times it hits me when I'm not even in it and times when I "dodged" it clearly and still hits me.

I have that happen semi-regularly to me in games, but with all kinds of skillshots. I don't think it comes from an ability in particular but probably something with the server or desynch again, especially since when I'm premade with people they tell me they see it hit me, while on my screen it was clearly to the side.
Edit: by "semi-regularly" I don't mean "it happens once or twice over the course of the game", but rather it happens pretty consistently over the course of the game, but only one game in awhile.
