Yup, a friend invited me to a premade with a friend of his and 2 friends of said friend, I've derped around (playing Viktor vs LB sucks, the guy was bad but barely got a kill and surfed from there, then I derped as Nautilus because he's actually super squishy until level 9 and first big real HP item now). I still managed to deal around 4 times the next one's damage / die only half as much in the respective games, because the decision-making is super eh.
It surprises me more when I try to play with them than around them or when they're solo, though. Because I'm used to the average level in my normals, or my low Plat s4 ranked, pings and actions and stuff aren't met with the same reaction at all. Seeing the frontline run away first and never come back or run around to start trying to flank when we ping to hard initiate tends to make you look silly for about 1.5 second before their team blows you up.

Most of my teams play with their feet. Or at least it seems like it XD
That guy who played with his feet is impressive. He's like plat or something right? Holy shit he's diamond!

It's kinda true though. I play around gold elo atm, and the map is always lit up like a christmas tree, but we all suck too much to look at it, so the wards do nothing anyway!
In other news, had a booster on my team the other day, and they played Vayne ended 23 - 2 with 44k damage. Second highest damage was 16k. Thought I could learn something about carrying as ADC, but when I rewatched the game I literally couldn't see what they did better than I do. Obviously they do something, but I guess I'm too awful to see it. I feel dumb.
Edit: my kinda true comment was about how low elo worries way too much about game knowledge bit

In most cases, higher level players find ways to deal damage that low level players don't. You can probably see the window, but you can't process the decision to take advantage of it in time.

It's true, why do you think I talk about buying damage items, taking ignite bot lane, all-inning, invading, and 21 offense all the time
Picking high winrate champions also makes it easier to win. I wonder why all those high winrate champions have good kill potential (damage and tankiness or just fucktons of damage). Hmmm...

So what you're saying is play a burst mage, and get your rotation off before you die? :D

Yep.
Except for the die part. I would say that a majority of plans that end in death are bad.

I disagree with that. I think dying for something isn't necessarily bad. I'd rather die to win a fight 1 for 5 and take a couple towers than trade 2 for 2 because I wussed out.
Controlled aggression with a focus on map objectives isn't bad. You won't get sexy kda but you'll win games and enable others to carry.
Ask Hai. Dudes made a fantastic professional career out of being hyper aggressive, dying a lot for map objectives and enabling his teammates to carry.

he's made a career out of being a shot caller, and sometimes not being a liability.
Man, these rapidstar analysis videos are sooo good. If you're bothered by their length, just check out the two minutes where he breaks out the crucial fight in EDG vs OMG - some pretty good stuff.
Also lol there's a second version of that video where some girl reads the script.

NOT SORAKA.
In my experience she's pretty fucking bad. That Q is way too hard to land at safe range, and every time you take harass getting too close it's effectively double that damage on your ADC.
Maybe if my adc's would adapt their play and trade super aggressively she would work better, but they are always too scared of taking damage.

I think after the rework people were commenting that she might work with ADCs that provide a lot of CC to initiate eg. Draven's E, Ashe ult, or Varus ult, making her silence really strong since it'll do double damage and snare, and her Q a guaranteed hit. It's kind of a reverse from the traditional idea that the support is supposed to provide initiation CC for the ADC to follow up on.

I find most ADC's don't really understand how to play with a Soraka either, but even still, it's pretty damn hard to lose lane. She's also quite strong against assassins. You shouldn't really take much harass since you can stay behind your ADC. I find her biggest weakness in lane is that she provides next to 0 gank assistance.
