More like a storyline which is hyped by community, lol. I'm pretty sure, neither Faker or Apdo care too much about each other. To Mensol though - soloqueue God, never played competitively except for stint with Team Dark which he helped to qualify for OGN, sadly wasn't able to play for them in actual OGN, because got banned for eloboosting (input story about girl he rejected). Team Dark proceeded to get thrown off OGN's lawn because of CloudTemplar's tribute game, Apdo still was openly eloboosting even after OGN 2-years ban, even if his main account got banned for 1000 years. Went to China after signing up with YY in competing for 1st ladder spot, won, got all the moneys, still lives there afaik, streams a lot with personal translator. So infact apdo's problem was not sticking his dick in crazy, that and rampant shameless ELO boosting. He more or less did it on stream, he didn't care. He had so much money that he can just get more accounts and keep boosting non-stop paid way better than anything OGN could offer iirc. Apdo is far more interesting than incarnati0n to me, not because of Korea or anything but apdo was never a lane dominator that gets ultra fed like faker or incarnati0n but he more or less won through map movements and ganking. Watching his movements and timing when he was streaming on YY was almost a revelation. | ||

pro players do not spend all of their time climbing soloqueue, which is what apdo does, down to the choice of champions he will play for a given patch. even so if we look at the actual data his ladder climbing ability is still short of faker, when faker plays on his designated ladder carrying champs like syndra. | ||

iirc faker was asked in a past interview about soloqueue players he would like to face in the professional setting, and he said most3. most3 is now rookie, so faker does have an eye for talent. as far as his actual ability goes, there's a wide range of opinions. it's the same dynamic with western streamer fanbases. apdo fans will hype him up, some current pros will act dismissively, but apdo himself is pretty level headed and cool about his evaluation of players as well as his own abilities. | ||
