because of what clutz said also Zed damage to shields does not count towards his ult 2nd proc, so shields are strictly better than armor early-mid game vs. him | ||

Usually for most ADC's, at a certain breakpoint for AS, you're going to be wasting AS trying to kite stuff out. So usually 1 AS item is more than enough for most ADC's, and the rest of your itemization is there to maximize per shot damage, once you get enough AS. Also, it's not like people are getting BT 1st or 2nd item... They're usually rounding it off as a 3rd item if there's no armor on enemy team, or 4th item after LW if there's armor (this is usually the case). Some people might not even get it til 5th item cuz they need strong defensive item after core 3 items. It's pretty rare they'll get it any earlier than 3rd item. The only ADC that might make good of use it before 3 items is the hurricane + BT kalista build, but that has a lot to do with how prolonged her fight phase is with her kiting, that makes the Lifesteal pretty insane. Not sure about math, but I'm pretty sure BotRK hits a much stronger 1 item timing than any of those you mentioned. Especially considering active. Also BT shield is purty good. | ||
