EPTI've been playing online games as a primary hobby for just about 10 years now, posted on all kinds of forums, etc etc, and you know how many times I've been punished/banned/muted, etc? Zero. And this is normal. I'm not some exceptional angel, it's just really easy to follow the important rules and not be an asshole.

The people who get banned have a problem with both attitude and self control. anytime you've been reported, you can't just stop playing or it can result in a chat restriction because of the rolling checks. if at any point in time the 1-3 reports you got hit a point where they happen a "majority" of the time you'll get punished. if you stop playing for a week after hitting 2 reports in a game, if that game was the only game that day, you'll get punished before you come back. even for only 1 game of bad behavior. because the system just sees you being reported twice per game played in that segment of time. | ||

If you're already flagged as bad it could be very easy to get intermittent reports to hit a punishment if you don't play a lot, even if you're good. This is, more or less, just due to small number variance. The key is that you have already had to been flagged. I don't know if you can get unflagged but I would hope their system is time and not game based. | ||

I've been banned 2 times in season 2 (short bans) and both these bans happened after huge loss streaks where I played with the exact same people (I was around top100 at the time so pretty much playing with the same guys all the time). As you can probably guess I didn't rage at all in these losses but rather was raged at and probably reported a lot "for being bad" or "ebay motherfucker" or something along these lines. Since then I've never been banned again so maybe the system has improved but I'm nowhere near the rank I had in season2 so I'd guess that problem still exists. Edit : on my smurf yesterday I had a popup telling me that I had been reported for "offensive language" and that I should calm down etc. I didn't write a single word this game, not even gg. I was playing Teemo though. | ||

I don't know if you can get unflagged but I would hope their system is time and not game based. it is absolutely game based, and not time based. my smurf got a chat restiction after a day of drunken games followed by a break from games of 5 days, and i asked support about it, player behavior dept specifically told me. Any reports received during the restriction will only cause them to continue, until the system observes a significant change. There is no "decay" on the chat restriction system. You must be actively playing games to show the system you are reforming. So pretty much grinding games is the only way to get out of the system or avoid punishment. | ||

Our line-up ended up being Riven (first pick) J4 Tristana Lucian Thresh. Guess. + Show Spoiler + 3 AD main, first pick chose top instead to be nice to the others (he ended up raging in game). 4th pick threatened to go AP Ashe mid, then AP Shaco mid. In the end he locked Lucian (against Syndra... yeah sure). Tristana offered to go mid and play AP since we were all-physical otherwise. Lucian ignored her in champ select but started flaming and spamming that he was mid ("helped" with pings) so Trist should move. A bit sad is how Thresh died when they invaded because he didn't pay attention so when AP Trist had to go bot she couldn't even hit 2 first and all-in. Later my EQ as J4 went right through Leona, we started following her since she'd have died otherwise and ~10s (and a TP and jungle hecarim ult) later, Hecarim had a triple because the other 2 didn't pull back. Game wasn't pretty and, well, let's just say I'm not into promos again. x) <3 | ||
