Most of the LCS players don't stream on the side and make only 25k in riot salary for 2 splits+ any winnings. This also goes for streamers who "only" make a living with 1-3k viewers like Destiny who probably are nowhere near the 6 figure range.

I wonder how much Voyboy or TOO could make if they streamed 40hours a week, and just only did that as their source of income.

Yeah Ahri just flashed, then I heard the sounds but no animation nor particles played for her spells, so I couldn't dodge the charm.

$.003-$.005 per thousand views of an ad, with 30k viewers for 10 hours, at a 2/3rds usage of adblock so 10k views*6 ads/hour* 10 hours*.003 = $300 / 10hrs. You can manipulate the numbers however you want from there though to adjust the numbers. The stuff that's not known is the $ per ad impression since they're contractually bound by an NDA to not disclose it IIRC. Not a job I'd want for the long term since I can make more money with less stress and fewer hours but it'd be fun for a year or two.

Add that onto Riot salary, prize money for tournaments, not having to pay for rent, and for those 4-5 people this applies to, you have a pretty easy lifestyle.

People start streaming for funsies, then it turns out they get a lot of viewers, then it becomes a decision. You don't make the decision first.

Plenty of people streamed because they wanted to make money off of it. Ketara plz
