I would say, however, that your point a) is true of 4 of the 5 roles. Most of the time when a support has a high creep score, it is a bad thing.

I think you are wrong and here is why. It's much like giving constructive criticism, and the most common mistake managers, esspecially new and untrained ones make, sadly it's not exclusive to this group.

For example: If a employee under you at a call center forgets to repeat a number back to the client. And you say "hey retard, don't forget to repeat the number back, people need this shit to be right" most people will just here the word retard and be either hurt or mad and not focus on the actual issue which leads to a hightend chance of that person repeating the mistake.
Conversely if you had said "hey man, you forgot to repeat the number back, If you repeat the number back we can eliminate a ton of mistakes" There is nothing for that person to get mad or sad about and they just hear what you have asked. Does it mean they will never make that mistake again, no but a far better chance. Not to mention the guy sitting beside won't say "don't worry about he's just a asshole" Like he may say in the first example which further devalues the message. It really doesn't take long for people to tune people out and see no value you in what they say "because they are just a dick" people do this to protect themselves from the hurt. Now you can say "thats there weakness", fine, but why not just deliver the message in a better way so it's not a issue?

You say this like it's a fact when it's a opinion. And my counter arguement to you that you find being a asshole to some one satisfying is, how do you feel when some one is a asshole to you? And then why do you enjoy making people feel like this? Esspecially people on the interent who you have nothing personal against. As for entertainment purposes, maybe for those who love pointless flame threads, with name calling and little actual debate could create there own thread, and this main thread could be for people wanting real discussion and info, with out the inet tough guy bs.
