Things about ranged in general that I like: I can poke melee and get cs fairly easily and it feels like I am in some kind of control on whether I live or die in a team fight.
What I like about annie and teemo: They can both escape pretty much anything outside of being stunned to death or bursted in half a second. While annie is slow, she has a lot of damage and can stun SOOOOOO often. Her stun is even a poke deny at lower levels because if they try to poke me when creeps are up then I can stun them and my creeps do extra damage to them too. I like teemo because 1 poke can do like 100 damage with his poison, he is fast, great map vision and I enjoy shrooms (I have saved so many lives with defensive shrooms, when me and a teammate are running I just put a shroom down and either they have to avoid it and fall behind or run through it and fall behind). I guess I like the strategy in shroom placement... putting one near ranged carries so when the melee from the other team comes to focus they are slowed and get hurt more stuff kinda like that.
These are probably the particular things that I like about annie/teemo... mostly their side-utility and ability to escape.

I've seen a few players in Diamond who have a majority of games played as Teemo. He's so fun.
But to answer your question, if you like Annie, you might like Veigar. He's so much fun. But then again, his escape sucks. He's just hilarious to one shot anyone you choose.

he did change his name it's nydusherman now

Yeah like that's any less misogynist.

So far I have played Annie and Teemo (I prefer ranged characters) and enjoyed both of them. Did very well with annie but I suspect things would change at higher levels when I dont get that free kill at level 6. What other champions are good ranged characters?
Also, which support characters are usually good? And should I bother trying to play support at my level (14 now) since a lot of people seem to be bad at knowing when to engage and when to not? Just because you get to level 30 it doesn't mean you'll be rid of people to instakill at level 6, or kite into mushrooms. In the mid-range level of play, champions strength is less important than being comfortable with it. However, some ranged champs I think are nice: Lux, Orianna, Kayle, Kennen (though I hate facing him), Lissandra. Alistar is very good at the lowerish level of play, since people always pick multiple carries and he is one of the best peelers in the game, you can make it game simply by making your hardest carrying player unkillable. Don't underestimate mana on him in such situations (up to level ~15 I literally always went for flask+archangel's rush (flask was OP back then though)). I'll have to check them out, thanks :D

Oh okay, so if he's gay would the name faggotmcfaggotgay be appropriate to stream to 200,000 people?
Don't be stupid.

no, faggotmcfaggotgay would probably not be appropriate, i'm not sure why you'd suggest that? i don't think nydusherman is equivalent to faggotmcfaggotgay i also don't think it's misogynistic i also don't think nydus is misogynist

It's not as bad obviously, but it's the same concept.
Nydushermain / nydusherman is a sex joke. It's derogatory, even if it's comparatively "not that bad". If Riot wants their game to be taken seriously by a more mainstream audience, they shouldn't be allowing players to play on the LCS stream with a name like that.
It's really common sense.

Sex is gross, can we just pretend people never do it.

Im kinda confused as to how nydushermain is derogatory? Is sex all of a sudden derogatory for women. It feels like everything we do is derogatory to women nowadays.
Anyway, sorry for adding to the offtopic discussion. Regardless, does anyone have any opinions on BT first Caitlyn as opposed to IE first? I always feel completely useless if I go BT, however I see it more often than IE lately. Is it just to increase pushing power?

hueheuhe i played a bunch of sejuani both before and after the 'buffs', she feels fundamentally the same. i know this wasnt the point of your post, it just struck me the other day how they might have tweaked some things, but she plays exactly the same.

I think gankedbymom is similar, really. If it were me I'd probably make them both change their names.
Basically if you think it's even potentially something that would be reported for inappropriate name, it probably shouldn't be going on the LCS stream. Once it's there it's something that's being officially endorsed by Riot. Making the player change their name is probably easier/better than risking offending even 0.1% of your target audience.
It's also worth noting that gankedbymom isn't an NA player, so there's language/cultural differences there that make it not quite as clear cut I'm sure.
