so sad China gets only 2 spots, the same as SEA

edit: how is the wildcard team determined?

Wasn't it decided from the winning region of Allstars? I dunno how they will pick the wildcard from that region though.

In my opinon, the top 5 support characters are (in no order) Sona, Nami, Thresh, Janna, and Blitzcrank. My reasoning for this is specific to each team's composition:

Have a Kennen or some other champ with a great engage/dive ult? Grab Sona for Flash-Crescendo, play smart in team fights and just watch Kennen wreck face. Or get Nami for the bubbles and Tidal Wave to knock-up into the engage.

Up against a poke-heavy team and you have a lot of tanky bruisers? Grab Thresh/Clank, learn them hook shots, isolate/focus the hooked target then win the ensuing 5v4.

Up against a dive-heavy composition? Nami, Sona, and Janna's ult all have great disengage properties.

I thought so too, but from the website:

"Korea - 3 entries
International Wildcard - 1 entry"

Since the 3rd Korean slot is given to them from winning all-stars, there's ANOTHER spot.

Champions of Brazil, Lating America, Tukey, CIS & Oceania go to Gamscom and play eachother, winner there is the "international wildcard"

I like your list but I feel like Zyra is on even tier with half your list, making a top6 perhaps more relevant.

Although It sucks that China only get 2 slots; and Korea would've only gotten 2 slots if they didn't win allstars. You also have to look at the size of the league players population.

are you seriously leveraging population as an argument against china

I just think it's funny but practically speaking, from a marketing prospective a chinese player isn't worth much, so you are right.

I don't really like the 4 teams auto bye into quarterfinals like last year because assuming it's like last year where riot considers 5 major regions (NA, EU, KOR, CN, SEA) one of them is gonna get fucked over again like frost last year.

But it also means we could potentially only be left with 1 NA & 1 EU Team from the QF and onwards.

Who you guys think is the favourite for the int. Wildcard? I don't know much about any of those scenes, but I guess it comes down to Brazil vs CIS.

I thought it was decided from Allstars that no European team would get a bye in to the QF, because they finished last.
I might be wrong though.

Yea' pretty much hit the nail on the head.
Riot's judgement was fair; plus the best team will still win the world championships.

Turkey has a good chance too, Dark Passage finished 2nd at Dreamhack. LAT & OCE look pretty bad though.

OCE will be a free round for any other team. Our scene looks sooooo weak it's not even funny.

Also lux support: zyra is all around better in that role.

It might be a style thing, but I prefer Lux to Zyra and I'm much better with the former. I'd say Lux brings much more damage while Zyra is better at zone control.

I have always felt fairly underwhelmed with Zyra as a support, and even as an AP mid, though I'd have to really grind games with her to figure out why I dislike her so much (and in the process I'd probably learn to like her, lol).

Lux is like nidalee with a bind. She is bad past early lane phase without some serious AP.

Zyra, on the other hand, has a root, slow, and her ult is amazing.
