And I hate when people draft stupid stuff, like Blitz when we have Cait and they have Nami, urgh. Plus we've got Kennen but his initiation isn't too reliable, and Riven so we lack tankiness, but the possibility of Lee being jungle on the opposing team makes it impossible to pick vulnerable junglers like Naut, and if I go for Vi/Nocturne then I know our teamfighting is going to be extra weak. (Turned out their jungle was Elise, which doesn't change much because her retarded base damage and spiderlings on-hit means she's stronger than Vi in 2v2 anyway.) So far my experience in Gold is that people are still as dumb and clueless as in Silver, and they don't necessarily have superior mechanics (esp. outside of laning) to explain their higher standing. Which makes sense, since I don't feel I'm any better since I ended up in Silver I myself.

Wyrm != Wurm. Wurm is a fancy way to spell worm. A Wyrm is a flipping dragon.

We joke a lot about mobility creep in here, but honestly, even above damage and AoE teamfight potential, I really think mobility and the ability to remove it (i.e. CC) are the strongest parts of the game. Playing Yi has made me realize how hard CC screws one over, as well as how strong it is to ignore slows and have a sprint. Whilst playing Udyr against anyone with a knockback or a slow seems like a nightmare, even with a good sprint that you can pretty much have up permanently. I mentioned this in my writeup, I like to play champs that have viability all throughout a game despite snowball or lack thereof. And honestly, I think that equals, in a lot of cases, mobility and CC. Zac, for instance, generally doesn't snowball, doesn't have huge burst, can't 100-0 a team. But, as long as he's not completely shut down for the whole game, the ability to dive hard and lock down people with 2 AoE knockups and an AoE slow keeps you viable from level 1 to 50 minutes in the game. Ez is pretty much entirely viable thanks to E (and partially his ability to have CC on his Q with IBG). Kennen, Lissandra, Hecarim are all pretty legit picks just for this reason, I think. Would I be somewhat correct in this assumption? That is, that high mobility and/or CC, non-snowball (and by that I really mean assassin and some mage) champs are just good pretty much all game and in all situations. I'm open to being told I'm wrong, but I think based on this assumption that these are the types of champs I'm going to be investing my time in. And Teemo, ofc.

In fairness, if I'm going to be a stickler about the difference between a wyrm and a wyvern, I should also keep my shit together about wyrm vs. wurm. To make this on topic, Dragon is a wyrm and Baron is a wurm. At least as far as I can tell. Anyone know what's on the other end of Baron's hole? Is it like Dugtrio?
