I always wonder if the limited champion pool that's being used by most teams is really a result of those being the only strong champions, or if there is a reluctance to train other champions out of fear of them not being as good as the "discovered" strong champs. I have to say it is getting better and there has been a lot more champion variety lately, but still it's generally fairly easy to name a few champs one of which will pretty much always be in game if they'r not banned, and it seems there's often not much experimentation with special setups and champions.
That, and I want to see more of my two AP mids; Viktor and Ziggs ^^
I still would love a Bo7 (or so) between teams where any champion that has been picked (no bans I guess) cannot be picked again in the Bo7. Should lead to some funny last games ^^

zyra is still fine mid, just more used as a support because her e snare, e plant slow, and ult knockup - the main reasons to pick her over any other champ - don't require gold. her utility heavy design made damage an incidental component of her kit ever since the old nerfs that dropped her out of common play before being picked up again as a support

The game is acting strange, launcher crashes when loading the game (not the client, a game that had started), I restart it, load normally, another guy is dc'd though, and then the window disappear entirely. Doesn't say it crashes, doesn't load the game, just disappears from the task bar, even alt-tabbing doesn't work, and the client says I'm in game.
Close and reopen a client, start loading the game, it proceeds to crash again.

Yesterday one of my IRL friends got a pentakill and joined the pentakill club. It's hilarious how happy they are, yet trying to play it off like they're not that thrilled, but they're all giddy.
I had a really clutch Mikael's use there too...

Na, Nunu would have been ban material even without his antics, he just made sure everyone knew it as fast as possible (while giving an easy to replicate gimmick for lower Elo to use him with).
Playing against Gold V in high Silver, Gold IV-V peppered with III during promotion matches, and now that I'm promoted it's full-on Gold III (and I'm first pick over 2 Gold II). That sounds weird, considering that I'm supposed to have had an inflated Elo during the promotion matches. Sure, there are exceptions (maybe these Gold II were on their way to demotion) but having it consistently over 7+ players makes it unlikely.

Yeah that's how it was for me as well. I was 4th pick when I duo'd with my friend who was in Gold 2 at the time, and he was the 5th pick. Then I lost 8 games in a row and I must have tanked my mmr. Since then I've picked it up and went from 0pts gold 5 to midway up in gold 4 and winning 20-25lp, but I'm still getting matched with Silver 1 and even some G5-S2 duos. Once again I'm confused as to how the league system works because I've more than made up for the 8 game +/-.

It also depends on the team of day. When I queue at past midnight, I'm first pick and get shitty plat players. When I queue in the morning or afternoon, I get high diamonds.
