Playing against Gold V in high Silver, Gold IV-V peppered with III during promotion matches, and now that I'm promoted it's full-on Gold III (and I'm first pick over 2 Gold II). That sounds weird, considering that I'm supposed to have had an inflated Elo during the promotion matches. Sure, there are exceptions (maybe these Gold II were on their way to demotion) but having it consistently over 7+ players makes it unlikely. Yeah that's how it was for me as well. I was 4th pick when I duo'd with my friend who was in Gold 2 at the time, and he was the 5th pick. Then I lost 8 games in a row and I must have tanked my mmr. Since then I've picked it up and went from 0pts gold 5 to midway up in gold 4 and winning 20-25lp, but I'm still getting matched with Silver 1 and even some G5-S2 duos. Once again I'm confused as to how the league system works because I've more than made up for the 8 game +/-. Other peoples' MMRs might be different from their leagues too. You can't just look at someone, see he's in silver1, and be able to conclude his MMR is silver1.

Personally i dont watch him but he has to be entertaining if he sustains 10-15k viewers. First it was your friend an now it's you who watched him for the longes time? ![]() You must have been away during the period where the cool thing to do in this thread was to hate on WoD hahahaha.

Otherwise you can try and start from scratch with people at w/e level you are now with pro aspirations. The higher your elo is, the smaller the community is and you can really start becoming friends with people.

Solo queue so far hasn't made me a better player (using my Dota experience as a metric) and I want to push myself to become better and compete. No one will be interested in making a team with you unless you're at least diamond or challengers. As far as solo queue not making you a better player; that's a lie. Solo queue is a very helpful training ground, it helps build experience and dem mechanics. Look at all the top players in all the regions; they all got good through solo queue.

But when im the best on my team, i really fucking hate playing league. Like really. Because usually, everyone is just a bunch of feeders and you have to fucking DRAG THEM KICKING AND SCREAMING to get anywhere When im in the middle its usually alright, cos that other guy(s) and i will do our shit and carry the others, this can happen when im the best on the team too, but more often then not its nope. I just came off the worst win ive ever had because of a situation like this and its just meh, i feel so exhausted having to not only play my best and give my all, but direct and drag idiots along with me (Making calls isnt the problem, getting them to listen and stop borked shit is) Maybe people feel this way when im the worst on my team O.o but i certainly dont play like people i get lolol I dont feel like this is Q.Q or brag because 1) i won ![]()

Every other pro player in every region was discovered by being high rated in solo queue, or got high enough in solo queue to form and/or join an amateur team before being noticed. You're not gonna find a bunch of bronze, silver, or gold players willing to play as 5s that much to get into Diamond1/Challenger. Especially since ranked 5s is way harder to get high rated in than solo queue.

way harder if you're all players who somehow think they're better than they are though (pretty much everyone who "just sucks at solo q"
