Yesterday we played a ranked match together, I went 6/3 as trist he went 1/5 as naut, and he was crying about how our jayce was bad and wanted to surrender at 20. I'm surprised you're even gold if you're going to measure skill level by comparing a 6/3 Trist score and a 1/5 nautilus score. (And no mention of assists here? A 1/5/10 nautilus score is better than a 6/3/0 Trist score for ex.) | ||

There is a lot of things that go into winning ranked games and only a fraction of it is mechanical skill at the game. Maybe he rarely has high scores, but his willingness to fill whatever role the team needs / play strong champions that are good in teamfights will contribute a hell of a lot to going up in LP. He may (or may not, depending on what you said about him raging at Jayce) also be better than you at controlling his temper / not being so quick to blame people for their scores / going on tilt / giving up too early (<- thats a huge one, since 90% of solo queue games are winnable late game by either team no matter what gold advantage they had going in). If you truly believe you are mechanically better than him, then you really need to take a hard look at your ability in these other areas im mentioning, because the whole package is required to gain ranks (a bad attitude will hurt you as much as a good KDA can help you). | ||

Grubby was good because he was a thinker. Mechanically weak with an incredibly deep understanding of the game. The running joke is that there's a hidden 5th race in Wc3 and it's Moon. | ||
