Think of it from Turtle's perspective. He's coming off of an amazing performance with the team so right now is when his perceived value would be the highest. Plus he has another team and if he didn't get picked up by TSM then any time he spent playing with them so they could evaluate him or whatever would cut into practicing with Cloud9 to possibly qualify with them. He would have every incentive to tell TSM he needs a decision right away, or he will commit to Cloud9. It would let him capitalize on his LCS performance while it was still fresh in their minds, and it would avoid giving them time to work out whatever problems they were having with Chaox. Or at least that makes way more sense to me then ditching a long time player after 3 games. | ||

Turtle also needs to confirm if he's playing with TSM or competing with Cloud9 for the LCS Promotion Series in May. Riot needs the paperwork in very soon. | ||

C9 just qualified for Spring Promotion and Turtle was a big part of their success. In the sense of rejuvenating their lineup, this is a much needed replacement for TSM. | ||

Probably best for all parties really. Chaox will either find a way to enjoy the game again or do something else with his life and TSM will have a player that's actually interested in playing for them. Compare his situation to say Dyrus, who for all his flaws has, just like he said at the beginning of the season, reduced his champion pool and really tightened his play on those champions and has become probably the most reliable performer on TSM in the LCS. | ||
