After watching the season finale of Soa, reading that about Loco made me really sad. Best of luck to him really, I'm still not certain why he would make the move to CLG in the first place.

I really don't like the gold/laning changes, with the passive increase and emphasis on siege units. Everything else is great, especially the penetration-related changes. I even like the jungle changes, jungle was too friendly and probably still is.

It's their response to the "NA recycles old talent" comment that chauster read here. Or at least I would assume it is.

Hopefully they'll find someone they like. What'll probably happen is they don't and end up taking either old talent or new talent that doesn't live up to their expectations. I'd prefer the latter so that maybe this new guy will be taught in chauschool or something and become what CLG needs to get in tip top form.

They honestly likely don't have a choice. The supports on the smaller teams likely don't want to play bench roulette with CLG. So I doubt anyone would want to team swap to play for them. The only likely NA candidate that people know about is Nhat. I'm thinking its likely a no for him, but he was part of team MRN for its short time. Either way its a pretty cool idea for them, but I think its just came to needing to do it.

How do people feel about boots on Ezreal after patch? According to a video from a while ago by Aphromoo (or was it doublelift?), Ezreal is one of the characters which really isn't all that dependant on boots (obviously because of arcane shift), do you feel boots can be safely ignored for a while on him now that the difference is even smaller?

Liandry's is beyond insane. I don't know what on earth they were thinking, Eating a 10% health burn because Anivia R's you is probably the dumbest thing I can possibly think of. Then there's Teemo shrooms, Eve's ult, blah blah blah.

Really starting to the think changing the way flat and % penetration work, lowering resists while increasing their costs (and reducing slot effectiveness), and putting out items like Liandry's and Black Cleaver was way over the top.

I would think they're doing the open try out because last time they let Doublelift pick anyone he wanted and he picked locodoco. Which probably cost CLG a lot more to get him here than if Doublelift would've picked someone in North America. They likely don't want to just let Doublelift pick whoever he wants to again and instead want to find someone that doesn't just mesh well with their AD carry but that also meshes with the entire team.
